Objective:The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy evaluation index of orthodontic cases and ABO-CRE to evaluate orthodontic end-of-orthodontic cases,to explore whether the orthodontic case efficacy evaluation index could be used as a new system for evaluating completed cases, and to analyze the effects of age, sex, tooth extraction and different sagittal bone classifications on the outcome of orthodontic treatment by using the orthodontic case efficacy evaluation index.Method:From 2020 to 2021,61 patients with orthodontics were selected as samples from the department of orthodontics of the Affiliated Hospital of Chuanbei Medical College using straight-filament orthodontics technology. The digital three-dimensional model of the end case was established using the 3 Shape scanner, and the post-orthopedic digitized model and the lateral head position were measured and scored with reference to the orthodontic case efficacy evaluation index and the ABO-CRE measurement standard, respectively, and the 3 shape Ortho analyzer analysis software and the Uceph head shadow measurement software were used. Each case record has each individual score and a total score of the two evaluation criteria.Speedman correlation analysis was used for the correlation between the efficacy evaluation index of orthodontic cases and the outcome of ABO-CRE evaluation of completed case treatment. The study subjects were grouped according to age, sex, tooth extraction or not,and different sagittal bone types, and the efficacy evaluation index of orthodontic cases was used for measurement and scoring, and the individual scores and total scores under different groupings were calculated and statistically analyzed.Results:1.Among the individual evaluation criteria of the orthodontic case efficacy evaluation index, the proportion of tooth arrangement, occlusal contact, and occlusal relationship is high in the total score, followed by U1-SN(°)、L1-NB(°)、SNB(°),and the midline and adjacency scores are the lowest among all individual items. In the ABO-CRE standard:arrangement, occlusal contact, covering, margin crest and cheek tongue tilt as a proportion of the total score is higher, and the adjacency score is the lowest of all items.2.Among the individual scores of different groups, the extracted and non-extracted groups had statistical differences in U1-SN(°),L1-NB(°)scores(P<0.05),and the skeletal class III and bony class I in different sagittal bone types were statistically significant in the L1-NB(°)scores(P<0.05),but there were no statistical differences in the total scores between different ages, sexes, whether to extract teeth and between different sagittal bone type groups.Conclusion:1.The efficacy evaluation index of orthodontic cases can be used as a new system for evaluating orthodontic cases and has certain advantages in evaluating anterior teeth.2.Tooth arrangement, occlusal contact and occlusal relationship have a great influence on the efficacy of orthodontic completion cases.3.Different ages, sexes, tooth extractions, and different sagittal bone types do not have an impact on the overall efficacy of orthodontics.4.Digital 3D models are convenient and accurate in clinical measurement and analysis.
