Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Premenstrual Syndrome(Liver Qi Stagnation Syndrome) With Combination Of Shu Mu Points And Auricular Point Sticking And Pressing

Objective: Through a clinical randomized controlled trial study method,we investigated the effectiveness of the Shu Mu points combined with Auricular point sticking and pressing in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome(liver qi stagnation syndrome),and provided new ideas for clinical acupuncture treatment of premenstrual syndrome.Methods: In this study,Seventy-two subjects with liver qi stagnation evidence of PMS were randomly divided into observation and control groups,with 36 subjects in each group.The observation group was treated with Shu Mu points combined with auricular point sticking and pressing therapy,and the control group was treated with Chinese medicine preparation Danzhi Xiaoyao Pill.The treatment was carried out for 3 menstrual cycles and a follow-up visit was conducted in the fourth menstrual cycle.The changes in the scores of the PMS Chinese Medicine Symptom Scale and the Daily Record of Symptom Severity Scale(DRSP Scale)were compared between the two groups,and the data were statistically analyzed and conclusions were drawn.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the general conditions(age,course of disease and condition)between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.Total scores of the PMS Chinese Medicine Symptom Scale: After treatment,the total score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P < 0.05);After treatment and follow-up,the improvement of the total score of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).3.DRSP Scale: The difference of premenstrual,premenstrual and follicular stage between the two groups after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment(P< 0.05);After treatment,the score improvement of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).4.Comparison of curative effects: The total effective rates of the observation group and the control group were 90.63% and 80.65% respectively.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Shu Mu points combined with Auricular point sticking and pressing can effectively treat premenstrual syndrome with liver qi stagnation,and its near-and long-term efficacy is better than that of the Chinese medicine preparation Danzhi Xiaoyao Pill.The combination of Shu Mu points and auricular acupoint sticking pressure is more advantageous in improving TCM symptoms,especially in improving emotional changes,digestive tract symptoms,edema,oral erosion or epistaxis.
