| Purpose:This study was conducted to observe the clinical effects of Modified Danggui Sini Tang in the treatment of diabetic lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans of the cold-coagulation-blood-stasis type by comparing the clinical symptoms and signs scores before and after treatment,as well as imaging results using a color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic instrument.Method:72 patients were chosen and included in the clinical observation who were treated at Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s First Affiliated Hospital,were clinically diagnosed with diabetic lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans,and conformed to the syndrome differentiation of cold blood stasis type.In general,the patients were divided into two groups: treatment and control,with 36 cases in each.Based on the control group,patients in the treatment group were given beraprost sodium tablets,while patients in the control group were given Jiawei Danggui Sini Tang for 3 months.The clinical symptoms and signs scores and individual symptom scores of the two groups of patients were documented and compared,as well as the ultrasonic diagnosis results before and after treatment-inner diameter size,inner diameter stenosis rate,intimal thickness,plaque size changes,and the clinical efficacy was analyzed and evaluated.Result:A total of 72 patients who met the diagnosis and inclusion criteria were initially included in the trial.During the treatment process,4 patients failed to complete the observational trial due to various factors.Finally,a total of68 patients completed the observation,including 35 in the treatment group and 33 in the control group.1.After 3 months of consecutive treatment,comparing the clinical symptoms and signs points of the two groups,the total point score of patients in the treatment group decreased from the mean pre-treatment value of 25.26± 2.99 to 9.89 ± 3.60,while the total point score of patients in the control group decreased from 24.91 ± 2.65 to 16.55 ± 3.13.Although both groups improved clinical symptoms associated,the total validity rate of the treatment group(88.57%)was more than that of the control group(63.64%),and the variation was proved to be remarkably great(P<0.05).2.After 3 months of continuous treatment,the single symptom scores of both groups declined substantially.When the two groups were especially in comparison,there was a big variation(P<0.05),and the scores in the treated group were vastly shorter than many in the control group.3.Imaging results under the color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic apparatus: After 3 months of continuous treatment,the plaque size decreased in both the control and treatment groups,and there was a significant difference in plaque size between the two groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group was more effective than the control group.There was no difference in the internal diameter stenosis rate between the two groups before and after treatment and the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The intimal thickness improved in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),and there was no difference between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).There was an increase in the size of the internal diameter in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),with no difference between the groups after treatment.Conclusion:1.The clinical efficacy of Modified Danggui Sini decoction combined with aspirin enteric coated tablets and cilostazol tablets in the treatment of diabetic lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans is significantly better than that of Western medicine alone.2.Modified Danggui Sini Tang can significantly reduce the DLASO patients with cold coagulation and blood stasis type clinical symptoms and signs scores and the individual symptoms integral,ameliorate the patients’ symptom manifestations such as skin temperature sensation,skin color,and pain sensation,prolong the distance of intermittent claudication and shorten their claudication relief time.3.Modified Danggui Sini Decoction can significantly improve the size of arterial plaque in lower limbs,which proves that Modified Danggui Sini Decoction can improve the abnormal structure of arterial vessels in lower limbs to a certain extent;Compared with western medicine alone,it had no significant effect on the diameter,stenosis rate and intimal thickness of arterial vessels. |
