| Objective: To observe the change of the vessel density(VD)and Retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL)in contralateral eyes of RVO patients using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in the fellow eyes of patients with unilateral retinal vein occlusion(RVO).Methods: This is a case control study.30 eyes with unilateral CRVO and 30 eyes with unilateral BRVO were enrolled as the experimental group, and 30 normal controls matched with age and generl condition during the same period were slected as the control group in the Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from May 2021 to January 2022.OCTA measure the thickness of peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer(p RNFL),the density of RPC etc.SPSS23.0 statistical analysis software was used to analyze and study the data of each group, and Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between each indicator.Rerult: 1.There were no significant differences in disc rim area, optic disc area and cupdisk ratio among the three groups(P > 0.05).2.The RNFL thickness of two unilateral RVO groups in the average, superior temporal and inferior temopo areas were significantly lower than those of normal control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the thickness of other areas were not significantly different from that in normal control group(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference between the fellow eyes of BRVO group and CRVO group(P > 0.05).3.The whole image VD,peripapillary VD,whole Image RPC,peripapillary RPC,superior temporal and inferior RPC density of the two RVO groups were significantly lower than that of the normal control group, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences in the othere areas between the two RVO groups and the control group(P > 0.05).There were no significant differences in every quadrants vessel density between fellow eyes of BRVO group and CRVO group(P > 0.05).4.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the whole image VD and whole image RPC were positively correlated with RNFL thickness in patients with unilateral RVO(P < 0.05).Whole image VD had no significant correlation with disc rim area, optic disc area or cup-disk ratio(P > 0.05).Conclusion: 1.p RNFL thickness and VD in optic disc area of the contralateral eye decreased in patients with unilateral RVO,which may reveal the early pathological changes in RVO,suggesting that we should pay attention to the contralateral eye changes in the clinical process.2.The p RNFL thickness of fellow eye is positively correlated with VD of optic disc in unilateral RVO patients. |
