Objective:To explore the effect of Shujin Huoxue Decoction on the swelling and pain after arthroscopy for meniscus injury,so as to provide reference for clinical treatment of knee joint swelling and pain after arthroscopy for meniscus injury.Methods:The subjects were 70 patients with meniscus injury hospitalized in the Department of orthopedics and traumatology of the people’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2020 to December 2021.They were divided into control group and experimental group,with 35 cases in each group.Control group: oral loxoprofen sodium tablets for pain relief,intravenous drip of 20% mannitol to reduce swelling;Experimental group: Shujin Huoxue decoction was added on the basis of the control group.The degree of knee swelling,visual analogue scale(VAS),knee range of motion,knee Lysholm score and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein were recorded and compared between the two groups on the first day before treatment,the seventh day after treatment and the 14 th day after treatment.Results:1.There was no significant difference between the two groups in age,gender,meniscus injury side,injury type,preoperative knee circumference and preoperative knee range of motion(P > 0.05).2.Swelling degree of knee joint 2cm above the upper edge of patella: compared within the group,the swelling degree 2cm above the upper edge of patella in the two groups decreased gradually on the first day after operation,the seventh day after treatment and the 14 th day after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the degree of swelling 2 cm above the upper edge of patella between the two groups on the first day after operation(P > 0.05);On the 7th and 14 th day after treatment,the swelling degree of 2cm above the upper edge of patella in the experimental group was less than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).3.VAS score: compared within the group,the VAS score of the two groups decreased gradually on the first day before treatment,the seventh day after treatment and the 14 th day after treatment(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before treatment on the first day after operation(P > 0.05);On the 7th and 14 th day after treatment,the VAS score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.Knee range of motion: compared within the group,the knee range of motion of the two groups increased gradually on the first day after operation,before treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in knee range of motion between the two groups before treatment on the first day after operation(P > 0.05);On the 14 th and 7th day after treatment,the knee joint activity in the test group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).5.Knee Lysholm score: compared within the group,the knee Lysholm score of the two groups gradually improved on the first day after operation,before treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant.There was no significant difference in Lysholm score between the two groups before treatment on the first day after operation(P > 0.05);On the 7th and 14 th day after treatment,the Lysholm score of knee joint in the experimental group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.Hypersensitive C-reactive protein: compared within the group,the hypersensitive Creactive protein in the two groups decreased gradually on the first day after operation,before treatment,7 days after treatment and 14 days after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in high-sensitivity Creactive protein between the two groups on the first day after operation and the 14 th day after treatment(P > 0.05);On the 7th day after treatment,the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein in the experimental group was less than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions:Shujin Huoxue Decoction can further improve the swelling and pain of meniscus injury after arthroscopy on the basis of the original curative effect,help patients improve the range of motion of knee joint,and help to improve the postoperative joint function score,which is worthy of clinical application.
