Objective To observe the changes of laboratory indexes(prothrombin time, partial activation prothrombin time, platelet count)and clinical efficacy of Xijiao Dihuang Tang and its formula in the treatment of abnormal coagulation function caused by poisonous snake bites,to investigate the efficacy of Xijiao Dihuang Tang and its formula in the treatment of abnormal coagulation function caused by poisonous snake bites,to verify the clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of poisonous snake bites, and to better guide the clinical treatment of poisonous snake bites.MethodsIn this study,72 patients with venomous snake bites caused by fire toxins were collected and randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group. The control group was given basic treatment for snakebite, while the treatment group was treated with Xijiao Dihuang Tang on top of the treatment protocol of the control group. The changes in the indices and clinical efficacy of the two groups were observed before and after treatment,as well as the presence of adverse reactions. After statistical analysis, the clinical efficacy of Xijiao Dihuang Tang Compounding Formula in the treatment of abnormal blood clotting function due to venomous snake bite with fire toxicity was objectively evaluated.Results:1.In this study, there was no statistically significant comparison of baseline information and pre-treatment conditions between the two groups(all P > 0.05).2.TT,APTT: When comparing between groups at the same time points, the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05)when comparing day 3 and day 7 of treatment. When comparing different time points within groups, the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 and day 7 of treatment with pre-treatment(both P < 0.05);the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 of treatment with day 7 of treatment(both P < 0.05).3.PLT: When compared between groups at the same time points, the difference was not statistically significant on day 3 of treatment(P > 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant on day 7(P < 0.05).When comparing different time points within groups, there was no statistically significant difference between day 3 of treatment and pre-treatment(both P > 0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between day 7 of treatment and pre-treatment and day 3 of treatment(both P < 0.05).4.Pain and swelling scores: when comparing between groups at the same time points, the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 and day 7 of treatment(p <0.05).When comparing different time points within groups, the difference was not statistically significant when comparing day 3 with pre-treatment(both P > 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant when comparing day 7 with pre-treatment and day 3 of treatment(both P < 0.05).5.Subcutaneous petechiae scores: when comparing between groups at the same time points, the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 and day 7 of treatment(p< 0.05).When comparing different time points within groups, the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 and day 7 of treatment with pre-treatment(both P < 0.05);the differences were statistically significant when comparing day 3 of treatment with day 7 of treatment(both P < 0.05).6.Overall efficacy score: for comparison between groups, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)when comparing day 7 of treatment. For intra-group comparison, the difference was statistically significant when comparing day 7 of treatment with pre-treatment(all P < 0.05).7.Total clinical efficacy: 1 case was cured,16 cases were effective,18 cases were effective and 1 case was ineffective in the treatment group, with an overall effective rate of 97%;0cases were cured,5 cases were effective,23 cases were effective and 8 cases were ineffective in the control group, with an overall effective rate of 77%,with a statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).8.Assessment of adverse reactions and safety indicators: No serious adverse reactions occurred during the treatment period in both groups, and no abnormalities were found in the safety indicators.ConclusionXijiao Dihuang Tang is a formula with the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, cooling the blood and stopping bleeding, which can improve coagulation disorders as well as pain, swelling and subcutaneous petechiae after the bite of a poisonous snake with fire toxicity evidence. No adverse reactions occurred during the treatment period and it is safe and worthy of further clinical application.
