Clinical Observation On Treating Premenstrual Syndrome Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Type By Umbilical Moxibustion Combined With Acupuncture

Objective:To compare the difference of clinical efficacy between acupuncture combined with umbilical moxibustion and conventional acupuncture on patients with qi-stagnation and blood-stasis premenstrual syndrome.Methods:Sixty patients with premenstrual syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis were enrolled and randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group.By observing the total clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,DRSP scale score and SAS scale score of the two groups,the efficacy difference between the two groups was compared.Results:(1)Comparison of clinical efficacy:the total clinical efficacy of the treatment group was 93.3%,and that of the control group was 76.7%.The total clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)After treatment,scores of single TCM symptoms in 2 groups were lower than those before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).After treatment,the efficacy of the treatment group was better than the control group in the improvement of premenstrual breast tenderness,headache,pain refusal in the lower abdomen and epigastric distention(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between the two groups in improving symptoms such as abnormal pre-menstrual mood,chest and hypochondriac distension and pain,purple and dark complexion,low menstrual volume,poor menstrual flow,and purple and black blood clots(P>0.05).(3)After treatment,the total score of TCM symptoms in 2 groups was lower than before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),and the curative effect in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(4)After treatment,the total DRSP score of 2 groups was lower than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(5)After treatment,SAS scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),and the curative effect in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of moxibustion umbilical combined with acupuncture on qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type premenstrual syndrome is better than conventional acupuncture.
