Research On Comprehensive Evaluation Of Influence Of Scientific Research Institutions Based On Altmetrics

The healthy development of scientific research institutions is of great significance to improving China's innovation ability.Evaluating scientific research institutions can not only control nonstandard scientific research activities,but also spur scientific research institutions to enhance their enthusiasm for independent research and development.However,with the continuous improvement of the national scientific research level and the rising demands of the society,the academic evaluation at this stage can't just rely on the quantity and grade of academic achievements to make a simple score for universities and scholars,but it is also a holographic data portrait that combines the quality of academic output and social influence.Therefore,in the process of perfecting the evaluation system of scientific research institutions in China,we should not only pay attention to the influence of scientific research achievements,but also pay attention to the social influence of scientific research institutions.With the rapid development of Internet technology,the types of academic achievements are increasing,and the scope of their influence is also expanding.If the influence of scientific research institutions is evaluated only by the number of published articles,it will inevitably be biased.In this context,the emerging Altmetrics evaluation index makes it possible to evaluate the influence of scientific research institutions outside the literature.Altmetrics is an evaluation index based on social network media,which is used to reflect the social influence of academic achievements.However,at present,most Altmetrics indicators come from foreign social platforms,which can't be directly used to evaluate the social influence of scientific research institutions in China.Therefore,this paper selects the correlation index of We Chat We Chat official account,a domestic social media platform,as the Altmetrics index representing the social influence of scientific research institutions,and constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of scientific research institutions' influence,combining the output influence and cooperation influence of scientific research institutions,and selects scientific research institutions in the field of library and information in China for a case study.Through literature research,comparative analysis and other methods,the feasibility of comprehensively evaluating the influence of scientific research institutions through the combination of institutional social influence,output influence and cooperation influence is explained theoretically.The results show that the comprehensive evaluation system of the influence of scientific research institutions in China constructed in this paper is reasonable and effective on the whole,reaching the purpose and original intention of comprehensively and objectively evaluating the influence of scientific research institutions.Among the scientific research institutions in the field of library and information in China,the comprehensive influence of most university scientific research institutions is higher than that of libraries and research institutes.There is a high correlation between Altmetrics indicators and output indicators.This study provides a new idea for perfecting the evaluation system of scientific research institutions in China,an empirical reference for the impact evaluation of scientific research institutions,and a contribution to the improvement of academic evaluation level in China.
