Cultivating idols first originated in Japan.With the emergence of many idolcultivating agencies and programs,cultivating idols are becoming more and more common in China.Cultivating idols are rapidly attracting a large number of fans because of their unique characteristics of cultivating,and the fans of cultivating idols show characteristics such as increased raising fans' voices,more organization and discipline,which have attracted the attention of many scholars.After preliminary research,we found that the characteristics of the fan groups of cultivating idols more likely to engage in participatory behaviors.This conclusion makes the fan culture of cultivating idols have the unique significance in the new media era.The author used participant observation and in-depth interview methods to study the participatory behaviors of fan groups of cultivating idols.In the process of engaging in participatory behaviors,fans of cultivating idols complete the construction of their own identity as fans.In addition,they also complete the social identity construction of fan groups through intergroup division and other forms,which makes the fan groups of cultivating idols have clear boundaries.The essence of the participatory behavior of fan groups of cultivating idols is the affective labor of the fans.Capital attracts fans by using cultivating idols as hostages and forces them to voluntarily perform affective labor for the development of the idols.Affective labor also produces a series of positive and negative effects,and the negative effects it causes are not conducive to the maintenance of a clean and healthy network environment.Therefore,the community should actively guide and regulate the participatory behaviors of fan groups of cultivating idols to make fan groups of cultivating idols more positive.
