Research On Verbal Interruption Strategy Of The Host Group In Talk Show Entertainment Programme

Verbal interruption is a kind of common phenomenon among host group in entertainment talk shows,which plays a vital role in hosts' controlling the program progress,regulates relationships among hosts and maintaining speaking turns.In the academic circles,predecessors' researches on host groups mainly focus on brand images,clothing & accessories,transmission roles and so on.However,there are few researches on “verbal interruption skills”,as an extremely important discourse skill for host groups of talk shows.This thesis takes the host group of Tian Tian Xiang Shang,an outstanding and classic TV talk show in China,as an example to deeply discuss the verbal interruption phenomenon.First of all,the concepts of verbal feedback and verbal interruption in dialogues are introduced and concluded.From the perspective of labor division of host groups,the methods,features,goals,distribution situations and pragmatic functions of verbal interruption are analyzed and then the verbal interruption patterns of core host and supporting host in host group are compared.On this basis,the relationship between labor division of hosts and verbal interruption is discussed,with a view to reveal the structural features and application laws of verbal interruption skills of host group,analyze the functional structures of different verbal interruptions and figure out the optimal interruption methods based on the sample analysis of real program linguistic data.It is expected that the strategies and skills of verbal interruption of host groups can be summarized,so as to put forward correct mode analysis and provide guidance to practices.According to the research,it is discovered that roles and labor division levels of host groups in entertainment talk shows have certain influences on the hosts' interruption modes and interruption times.The more the people on the stage are and the more complicated the scene is,the more necessary the site control ability is.The host's verbal interruption phenomenon is the core presentation of site control ability of a host.Hosts with different roles in host group have different verbal interruption modes and methods.It seems that verbal interruption violates the cooperation principles and politeness principles of pragmatic strategy.As a matter of fact,verbal interruption is to better cooperate with and promote the program process,so that the overall effect of the program can be improved.This research provides certain assistance to the development of the development pragmatic field and offers certain reference value and theoretical support to hosts' practice and teaching researches of broadcasting and hosting major.
