Objective: In this study, patients with chronic urticaria were selected as subjects to evaluate the improvement of symptoms and the quality of life by acupuncture.so as to provide certain clinical evidence for the clinical treatment of the disease. Methods: 75 patients were randomly divided into observation group(acupuncture meridian points group),control group 1(sham group),control group 2(wait treatment group),There were 3 shedding cases,72 effective cases,24 cases in acupuncture group,25 cases in control group 1,23 cases in control group 2.The acupuncture group and sham acupuncture group were treated 5 times a week in the first 2 weeks of the treatment period, and 3 times a week in the third and fourth weeks, for a total of16 times. The waiting group was treated according to the acupuncture group protocol after the 8-week waiting period was over. The Urticaria Activity Scores(UAS7),the Visual analogue scale(VAS)score of itching intensity,Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were recorded for the treatment period of 1-4 weeks and follow-up period of 5-8 weeks, and the data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.Comparison of chronic urticaria curative effect within the group:(1)Observation group: Compared with before treatment,UAS7 total score,VAS score of itching intensity,DLQI score,HAMD score and PSQI score decreased at all evaluation points(p<0.05).Compared to week 2,Urticaria activity score,VAS score of itching intensity, and DLQI score decreased after treatment and at each time of follow-up period(p<0.05);(2)Control group 1: compared with before treatment,UAS7 total score,VAS score of itching intensity, decreased after treatment and at each time of follow-up period(p<0.05).Than compared with before treatment, the skin quality of life scale,Hamilton anxiety scale score, and Pittsburgh sleep scale decreased in the 8th week(p <0.05);(3)Control group 2: compared with before treatment,UAS7 total score,VAS score of itching intensity,DLQI score,HAMD score and PSQI score depression scale score at all evaluation points showed no significant changes(p>0.05).The therapeutic effect of the observation group was obvious.2.Comparison of chronic urticaria effect between groups:(1)Treatment period:the 4th week's UAS7 total score,VAS score of itching intensity,DLQI score, the observation group were better than control group 1 and control group 2(p<0.05);(2)Follow-up period: the 5th,6th,7th,8th week of UAS7 total score,VAS score of itching intensity,DLQI score, the observation group is better than the control group 1and the control group 2(p<0.05);The HAMD score at the 4th,6th and 8th week, the observation group is better than the control group 2(p<0.05);In reducing the effect of urticaria symptoms, the observation group is better than the control group 1 and control group 2.Conclusion:Acupuncture therapy can effectively alleviate the symptoms of chronic urticaria patients, alleviate the degree of itching, and improve the quality of life, with a certain degree of long-term efficacy, and the therapeutic effect is better than that of the sham group and the wait treatment group.
