The Clinical Observation In Treating Chronic Urticaria With "the Urticaria Four Points" On Acupuncture

Nettle rash(Urticaria) is a kind of mucocutaneous allergic diseases in clinical,which presents with transitional and local wind wheal with swelling and different kinds of shapes on the skin,along with actue itch,erythema and wheal,but occur and finish rapidly in time,and without scar afterward. The incidence of nettle rash is approximate 23.27%that people in any age can suffer from the nettle rash.Clinically,nettle rash is divided into acute and chronic groups according to the nettle rash course.Basically,the acute nettle rash has a short and intensive course of 1 to 2 weeks.Adult female is the most vulnerable group compares to other age and gender groups,i.e. the proportion between male and female patient is approximate 1:17.wheal and the ring-like red spot type harm are the characters of skin lession in the nettle rash case.And the nettle rash has a vary degrees of itch,some patients have the feelings of the cauterization,stabbing pain and push twist,while wandering pain in the limb joints and conjunctive congestion are the common performences for the patients.The etiology of nettle rash is complex,up to 3/4 cases are unclear with the etiopathogenesis.The common causations are food,medicine,infections, inhalant antigens,physical and chemical factors,mental usually above 6 weeks.The situation manifests complex and repeatedly,a prolonged recovery takes as long as up to months and years, which ultimately brings enormous pain and inconvenient to the patients.In addition,the chronic nettle rash which caused by physical stimulations like cold and hot,sunlight,friction,pressure and so on is classified as physical property nettle rash.And other nettle rashes caused by skin scratch sickness, cold,choline,sunshine,and pressure which are also common in clinical,but without clear etiologies either,which considerd as relating to the immunity.Currently,modern medicine mainly uses antihistamine as the treatment of nettle rash,but the problem is the nettle rash can easily recrudesce and difficult to eradicates the disease although it has a rapid effect in dealing with the symptoms,which would continuely bring the patients for enormous pain and inconvenient both in living and mental lives.Therefore,treatment of nettle rash and the prevention of chronic nettle rash recrudescence has become the key point of the clinical research.The diagnosis and treatment of TCM are based on the differentiation of syndromes,specificate designed drugs,external treatments,TCM therapies, acupuncture and moxibustion therapy and the cooperation of Chinese and Western medicine therapy,which have certain characters and advantages in the treatment of this case.Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy(immunity active lymphocyte and phagocyte) has obvious and widespread regulating effection to the human immunity system,which has the function of enhancing organism immunity,makes the unusual immunity condition to restore normally,so as to influence the immunity mechanism of the etiopathogenesis,and take effects in the treatment of nettle rash.Therefore,the application of acupuncture in treating the nettle rash in clinical has been expanded unceasingly.Objective:To test the clinical curative effect in treating the chronic nettle rash with "The urticaria four points"[Quchi(LI 11),Xuehai(SP 10), Zusanli(ST 36),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)]as main point.There are many clinical reports and literatures in reporting the treatment of nettle rash with acupuncture and moxibustion,but the evaluation criteria for measuring the curative effect is not unified,and the reports are repeatly reported in many cases,which does not do favor to the scientific.Meanwhile,there is no compare research of acupuncture and moxibustion prescription in the clinical research, but only based on the evaluation of the effect of the single acupuncture and moxibustion prescription at present,since the curative effect of treating the nettle rash with acupuncture and moxibustion is affirmed and considerable, we should perform a summarization of the effective acupuncture points,form an effective prescription in treating the nettle rash,and promote in clinical.Method:60 subjects with nettle rash are divided into the treatment group and the control group stochastically(30 examples each),the control group takes orally the Clarityne(Loretadine);The treatment group was applied with two-sides of "The urticaria four points"[Quchi(LI 11),Xuehai(SP 10), Zusanli(ST 36),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)]as the main points,for subjects with the symptoms of Feng Re Fan Biao:add Dazhui(DU 14),and performed with catharsis;For subjects with Feng Han Su Biao:adds Feishu(UB 13),performed with tonifying method;For subjects with Chang Wei Shi Re:add Hegu(LI 4), performed with catharsis;For subjects with Xue Xu Feng Zao:add Geshu(UB 17), Pishu(UB 20),performed with the reinforcing and reducing methods.To compare the clinical curative effect between the two groups after treatments.Results:After 4 weeks treatments,analysed the curative effects of the treatment group and the control group,and found that the curative effect of treatment group is better than the control group,with a significance difference(P<0.05);and the comparison between the treatment group and the control group with the symptom integral of different kinds of treatment methods also showed a significant difference(P<0.05),which explained that the two kind of different methods of treatment symptom integral comparison between the treatment group and the control grop has statistics significance;The comparison of symptom integral between the pre-therapy and post-therapy presented a P-value that is less than 0.05,which indicated a significance difference;besides,as the survey time and the method of treatment affect mutually,showed the range of total score change of the two treatment are dissimilar in a same time.As a result,"The urticaria four points"[Quchi(LI 11),Xuehai(SP 10),Zusanli(ST 36),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)]as the main acupoints selection in the treatment of nettel rash has a remarkable clinical curative effect,which should be promoted in clinical.
