Observation On The Effect Of High Potent Cough Syrup Combined With Acupoint Application In The Treatment Of CAP With Phlegm-heat Obstructing Lung Type

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of High potent cough syrup combined with Acupoint application in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia with phlegm-heat obstructing lung type.Methods This study selected 100 inpatients who were admitted to the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Nationalities Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021 and met the inclusion criteria of this study,and randomly divided them into a control group and a treatment group with 50 cases in each.The control group received conventional western medicine treatment,the treatment group was additionally given High potent cough syrup combined with Acupoint application on the basis of the control group.The TCM syndrome scores,WBC,NE%,CRP,PCT,ESR,lung CT,and safety indexes of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were recorded,and statistical software was used for data analysis.Results(1)There was no significant difference in general clinical data such as age and gender between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)Inflammatory indicators: There was no significant difference in the levels of WBC,NE%,CRP,PCT and ESR between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),which were comparable.On the 7th day of treatment,the levels of WBC,NE%,CRP,PCT,and ESR in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).And the reduction effect of WBC,CRP,PCT and ESR levels in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group.However,there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in reducing the level of NE%(P>0.05).(3)Lung CT: After 7 days of treatment,the lung CT results of the two groups showed that the total absorption rate of the treatment group was 81.6%,and the total absorption rate of the control group was 69.4%,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Durations of antibiotic use: The average durations of antibiotic use in the two groups was 6.1 days and 8.39 days,respectively.The average durations of antibiotic use in the treatment group was significantly shorter than that in the control group.The rank sum test showed there was a statistically significant difference in the durations of antibiotic use between the two groups(P<0.05).(5)The total score of TCM syndrome: on the first day of treatment,there was no statistical difference in the total scores of TCM syndromes between the two groups(P>0.05).On the 3rd,5th,and 7th days of treatment,the total scores of TCM syndromes in the treatment group and the control group were decreased compared with those before treatment,and the difference between the treatment group and the control group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(6)TCM disease severity classification: There was no statistical difference in TCM disease severity classification between the two groups on the first day of treatment(P>0.05).On the 5th and 7th days of treatment,there was a statistically significant difference in TCM disease severity classification between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05).(7)Therapeutic effects of TCM syndromes: The total effective rates of TCM syndromes in the treatment group and the control group were 94.1% and 85.7%,respectively.According to the Chi-square test,there was a statistically significant difference in the efficacy of TCM syndromes between the two groups(P<0.05).(8)In the treatment group,1 case of mild skin allergy occurred during the treatment.There were no adverse reactions in the control group.Before and after treatment,there were no abnormal changes in liver and kidney function and electrocardiogram in the two groups.Conclusion High potent cough syrup combined with Acupoint application combined with conventional western medicine has a good clinical effect on CAP patients with phlegm-heat obstructing lung type,which can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients,shorten the time of antibiotic use,and reduce WBC,CRP,PCT,ESR inflammation.But in reducing NE%,promoting the absorption of pulmonary inflammation,the efficacy is comparable to that of conventional Western medicine.High potent cough syrup combined with Acupoint application treatment has fewer adverse reactions,has better safety,and is worthy of further promotion and use.
