Clinical Efficacy Observation On Wenyang Yishen Moxibustion Combined With Electroacupuncture In The Treatment Of Mixed Urinary Incontinence With Kidney Qi Deficiency Type

ObjectiveThe main purpose of this study is to analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of mixed urinary incontinence with kidney qi deficiency type.And compared with simple electroa cupuncture therapy,to discuss the clinical superiority of Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture in the treat-ment of mixed urinary incontinence with kidney qi deficiency type,and to enrich the clinical methods and ideas for the treatment of this disease.MethodA total of 60 eligible subjects were included in the study,all of whom were selected from patients who attended the outpatient clinic of the Acupuncture Department of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2019 to November 2021.According to the random grouping method,60 patients were divided into two groups: the Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture group and the simple electroacupuncture group,each group had 30 patients.And the simple electroacupuncture group adopted the Tiaoshen Qizhen method and the Pangguang Wuzhen method,while the Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture group still added Wenyang Yishen moxibustion on the basis of the simple electroacupuncture group treatment.Then relevant indexes were observed and recorded before treatment and after treatment and during follow-up period,which included the average number of 24-hour urinary incontinence,the leakage volume of 1-hour urine pad test,the score of ICIQ-SF and the score of TCM symptoms of kidney qi deficiency.Through statistical methods to analyze the above indexes objectively,in order to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of mixed urinary incontinence with kidney qi deficiency type.Result1.Dropout: During the treatment period,there were tow dropout subjects in the simple electroacupuncture group.A total of 58 subjects were treated finally,including 28 cases in the simple electroacupuncture group,while 30 cases in the Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture group.2.Comparison between groups: After treatment and during the follow-up period,the differences in the average number of 24-hour urinary incontinence,the leakage volume of 1-hour urine pad test,and the score of TCM symptom were statistically significant（P<0.01）,while the another difference in the score of ICIQ-SF between two groups was statistically significant after treatment（P<0.01）and not statistically significant during the follow-up period（P>0.05）.However,when compared with the simple electroacupuncture group,the observation indicators of the Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture group were more stable during the follow-up period than after treatment.3.Intragroup comparison: Compared with before treatment,the indexes of patients in both groups were reduced to varying degrees after treatment and during follow-up period,which included the average number of 24-hour urinary incontinence,the leakage volume of 1-hour urine pad test,the score of ICIQ-SF and TCM symptom,and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.01）,while compared with after treatment,the difference in the observation indicators of two groups was not statistically significant during the follow-up period（P>0.05）.4.Safety comparison: No major adverse events occurred in either group of patients throughout the study.Both groups of patients had obvious acupuncture and moxibustion sensations during treatment,and some patients had a small amount of bleeding on the acupuncture points when the needles were taken.In addition,there were 2 male patients had some blisters or slight burning pain after moxibustion,and eventually improves after proper treatment.ConclusionThe comprehensive therapy of Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture and the simple electroacupuncture therapy have safe short-term and long-term efficacy in the treatment of mixed urinary incontinence with kidney qi deficiency type,which can better reduce the amount of urine leakage and the number of urinary leakage in patients,and improve the living standards and quality of patients.However,relatively speaking,the clinical effect of Wenyang Yishen moxibustion combined with electroacupuncture is more stable and lasting,and has significant advantages in improving the patient’s kidney deficiency,which can be further applied and promoted in the clinic.
