| Objective:To observe the curative effect of Shugan Dingxuan Decoction on Meniere’s disease(stagnation of liver qi syndrome)and its effect on quality of life.Methods: A total of 66 patients with Meniere’s disease who were treated in the Department of Otolaryngology,Henan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table method,with 33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with betahistine mesylate tablets(Minshilang)and prednisone acetate tablets.The experimental group was treated with Shugan Dingxuan Decoction on the basis of the control group.Observed and recorded before and after treatment in two groups of patients with vertigo,tinnitus,ear tightness,deafness and other clinical symptoms changes and the impact on the quality of life,the results were statistically analyzed and concluded.Results: 1.TCM syndrome score: TCM syndrome scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.01).The experimental group was significantly better than the control group in improving vertigo,tinnitus,chest pain,and emotions(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in improving ear tightness and hearing between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)score;the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in reducing vertigo on quality of life(P<0.01).3.tinnitus evaluation questionnaire(TEQ): the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in reducing the impact of tinnitus on quality of life(P<0.05).4.Hearing improvement: both the experimental group and the control group could improve the hearing level(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in improving the hearing efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).5.The VAS score of ear tightness: the experimental group and the control group can alleviate the symptoms of ear tightness(P<0.01),there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).6.VAS score of quality of life: Both groups could significantly improve the quality of life of patients with Meniere disease,and the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Shugan Dingxuan Decoction can effectively relieve vertigo,tinnitus,hearing loss,ear tightness,chest pain,emotional and other clinical symptoms of Meniere ’s disease with liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome,especially in improving vertigo,tinnitus,chest pain symptoms,stabilizing emotions and improving the quality of life.2.Shugan Dingxuan Decoction can significantly improve the overall quality of life of patients with Meniere ’ s disease of liver depression and qi stagnation. |
