Objective:This study conducted clinical observations to explore the curative effect of Shugan Dingxuan Decoction of the supervisor’s experience in the treatment of persistent postural-perceptual dizziness(PPPD)of liver depression and spleen deficiency,in order to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods: The PPPD patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency who met the inclusion criteria were divided into an observation group of 33 cases by random number table,and they were treated with Shugan Dingxuan Decoction;33 cases in the control group were treated by Zoloft.Taking TCM syndrome score,Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),and Dizziness Disorder Scale(DHI)as observation indicators,the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was evaluated after 8 weeks of treatment.Results:(1)Comparison of observation indicators within the group: After4 weeks of treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes,individual TCM syndrome scores,HAMD,HAMA and DHI scores of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the observation indexes of the two groups were significantly lower than those after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).(2)Comparison of observation indicators between groups: After 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),dizziness,abdominal pain,lack of food,loose stools,bowel sounds 5 The individual scores of TCM syndromes were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the HAMD and HAMA scores were not statistically different from those of the control group(P>0.05).The DHI scores were significantly lower than the control except for the DHI(E)score.Group(P<0.05);after 8 weeks of treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05),dizziness,distending and painful flank,abdominal distension,lack of food,uncomfortable stools,depression or irritability The individual scores of 7TCM syndromes of anger and bowel qi qi were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the scores of HAMD,HAMA and DHI were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of curative effect: After 8weeks of treatment,the efficacy of TCM syndromes in the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05);the efficacy of depression symptoms,anxiety symptoms,and dizziness were all better than those of the control group(P<0.05).(4)Safety observation: There was no abnormality in the safety indicators detected during the research process.Among them,2patients in the observation group had symptoms of loss of appetite,and 5patients in the control group had dry mouth,bitter mouth,constipation,and diarrhea.The symptoms disappeared after symptomatic treatment and did not affect the observation.Conclusion: Shugan Dingxuan Decoction can effectively treat PPPD of liver depression and spleen deficiency.It is safer in clinical application and can provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease.In addition,Shugan Dingxuan Decoction has an obvious advantage after 8 weeks of treatment compared with 4 weeks of treatment.Whether there is a positive correlation between the course of treatment and the curative effect still needs further clinical observation.
