Treatment Of Functional Constipation In Children (Hot And Dry Constipation) By QingreRunchang Decoction

Objective: To provide clinical basis for the treatment of children’s functional constipation(hot and dry constipation)through clinical observation and evaluation of the curative effect of Qingre Runchang Decoction on children’s functional constipation(hot and dry constipation),and to discuss the characteristics of its formulation.Methods: A total of 76 children with functional constipation(heat-type constipation)who met the inclusion criteria in the Pediatric Clinic of Henan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine(the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine)were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group(38 cases in each),the treatment group was given Qingre Runchang Decoction,and the control group was given Changtongshu Granules.Both groups were treated for 14 days.Observe the changes in the scores of the symptoms of the two groups of children before and after treatment,and conduct statistical analysis to evaluate their clinical efficacy and safety.Results:1.After treatment,the total symptom score and individual symptom score in both groups decreased compared with before treatment,P < 0.05,which was statistically significant.2.After treatment,the total symptom scores and individual symptom scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.3.Comparison of the efficacy of the two groups after treatment: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.44%;the total effective rate of the control group was 80.56%.Comparison of the total effective rate of the two groups: the treatment group is higher than the control group,P>0.05,which is not statistically significant;the comprehensive efficacy comparison between the two groups: the treatment group is better than the control group,P<0.05,which is statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Qingre Runchang Decoction can effectively treat children’s functional constipation(heat-type constipation);2.Qingre Runchang Decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of children’s functional constipation(heat-type constipation);3.In this study,no adverse reactions were found in Qingre Runchang Decoction,and its safety is guaranteed.
