Clinical Observation Of Zhulian Wendan Decoction In The Treatment Of Children With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(Internal Disturbance Of Phlegm And Fire)

Objective:This study observes and evaluates the efficacy of the treatment of Zhulian Wendan Decoction on ADHD who is Internal disturbance of phlegm and fire.And the study broaden the idea and method on treating ADHD.Methods:72 children with ADHD from 6～14 years old who be in line with the inclusion criteria were selected as the research subjects in the Pediatric clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The 72 cases were divided into the test group and control group on average by random number table method.The test group was given Zhulian Wendan Decoction orally,and the control group was given atomoxetine hydrochloride.After treating 28 days,this study observes the changes of symptoms and signs of the two groups of children,and analyze their clinical efficacy,it also observes whether there are adverse reactions during the treatment.Results:1.After chi-square test and rank sum test,the age,sex and course of disease of the two groups of children,there is no significant d ifference and it is comparable(P>0.05).2.Before treatment,the test group and control group the SNAP-Ⅳ scores,hyperactivity index and TCM syndrome scores are no significant difference and it is comparable(P>0.05).3.The total effective rate of test group was 81.82%,84.38% in control group.There are no significant difference between test group and control group(P>0.05).4.The test group and control group before and after treatment the SNAP-Ⅳ scores,hyperactivity index are significant difference(P<0.05),suggesting two groups have remarkable curative effect on ADHD.After treatment,there are no significant difference between test group and control group(P>0.05).5.After treatment,the hyperactivity,fidgetiness,impulsiveness,hard to be quiet,upset hot and defecation of the two groups are no significant difference(P>0.05).Compare with control group,test group have remarkable effective in ameliorate nail-biting,insomnia,anorexia,urine and defecation condition of the two groups are significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Zhulian wendan decoction and atomoxetine hydrochloride can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of ADHD(Internal disturbance of phlegm and fire type)in children.2.Zhulian Wendan Decoction and atomoxetine hydrochloride can ameliorate every single TCM syndromes.There are no significant difference in ameliorate hyperactivity,fidgetiness,impulsiveness,hard to be quiet,upset hot and defecation.But compare with atomoxetine hydrochloride,Zhulian Wendan Decoction is good at ameliorate nail-biting,insomnia,anorexia,urine and defecation condition.
