| Objective:This study is a clinical study on the treatment of children’s functional constipation(syndrome of food accumulation turning heat).Massage method(acupoint pressing with viscera)and oral medicine(oral liquid for children’s digestion)are selected for treatment control.By comparing the effect difference and long-term effect of the two treatment methods,the effectiveness and safety of acupoint pressing with viscera can be observed.Method:Children who met the diagnostic criteria of children’s functional constipation(food accumulation and heat transfer syndrome)and visited the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to January 2021 were selected.According to the random number table method,the children were divided into two groups.The treatment group was treated with acupoints of zang-fu organs,while the control group was treated with oral liquid for children.Both groups were given basic treatment at the same time.The defecation time,character and frequency of Spontaneous bowel movement(SBM)were recorded before treatment and on the 7th and 14 th days of treatment.All the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS26.0.Results: A total of 120 cases were analyzed statistically.⑴ Baseline level: Before treatment,the demographic information such as gender and disease-related information such as TCM syndrome scores were compared in 9 aspects,showing that there was no statistical difference between the two groups,which was clinically comparable.It is found that children with functional constipation are more common in 1 ～ 4years old,the incidence rate of girls is slightly higher than that of boys,the main reason is prolonged defecation interval,and the course of illness of children is usually 6 months.⑵ TCM syndrome curative effect: After 7 days of treatment,the effective rate of the treatment group was 87.5%,while that of the control group was 62.5%.After 14 days of treatment,the effective rate was 92.5% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The curative effect of TCM syndrome in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group.⑶ TCM syndrome integral: After 7 days of treatment,the difference between the main symptom,secondary symptom and total integral between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The score reduction in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.After 14 days of treatment,the difference between total score and main symptom score before and after treatment was statistically significant.There were statistically significant differences in scores between the groups before and after treatment.It shows that both groups can improve the score,and the treatment group can reduce the score more.⑷ Efficacy of main symptoms: After 7 days of treatment,the effective rates of three main symptoms in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group.After 14 days of treatment,the effective rates of treatment group and control group were 86.25% and62.5% respectively.The effective rates of stool traits in two groups were 80.0% and 60.0%respectively.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant.There was no difference in the effective rate of defecation difficulty between the two groups,which was85.0%.⑸ Comparison of SBM and response: Both treatment schemes can increase the frequency of SBM per week,and the frequency of treatment group is more increased than that of control group.In the second week,before and after treatment,there was no statistical difference in SBM frequency between the treatment group and the control group.After 7 days of treatment,the response rate of the treatment group was 80.0% and that of the control group was 50.0%.After 14 days of treatment,the response rate was 83.8% in the treatment group and 52.0% in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).⑹Single symptom score: After 7 days of treatment,there was significant difference between the two groups in each single symptom score except defecation time,lack of diet and less yellow urine.After 14 days of treatment,the scores of each single symptom decreased compared with those before treatment,and the improvement of six symptoms(stool characteristics,abdominal distension and pain,dry mouth and throat,difficulty in defecation,dry mouth and bad breath,and hot heart of hands and feet)had statistical significance between the two groups,and the scores of the treatment group decreased more.⑺Long-term curative effect: After 4 weeks of treatment cessation,106 patients with effective treatment were called back.The recurrence rates of the two groups were 9.46% and18.75%,respectively,with no significant difference(P > 0.05).⑻ Safety comparison: No adverse events occurred in all children.Conclusion1.Acupoint-acupuncturing with viscera has a certain curative effect on children with functional constipation,which has a low recurrence rate.2.Compared with oral Xiaoer Huashi Oral Liquid,the treatment group has higher effective rate on defecation time and stool characteristics.3.The frequency and response rate of SBM per week increased by acupuncturing the viscera were higher than those of the control group.4.Massage is better than oral medication in improving the scores of six symptoms,such as stool character,difficulty in defecation,abdominal distension and pain,dry mouth and throat,dry mouth and bad breath,and hot heart of hands and feet.5.It is safe to treat with acupoints and massage by zang-fu organs.To sum up,the treatment of children’s functional constipation(syndrome of food accumulation and heat transformation)by acupuncturing the viscera is effective and safe in clinical use,which is worthy of further promotion in clinical application. |
