ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to investigate the status quo of social support,self-efficacy and self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly in Jilin City, analyze the correlation among social support,self-efficacy and self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly, explore the influencing factors of self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly, and verify the intermediary role of self-efficacy between social support and self-perceived burden The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical basis for reducing the self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly in the future, and to provide reference for further research in related fields.MethodsIn this study,a multi-stage sampling method was used. From July to December in 2019,from Jilin City of Jilin Province,a street was randomly selected from each of the 6administrative districts of Jilin City,Jilin Province, and 2 communities were randomly selected from each street. In each community,35 people were selected by convenience sampling method, and a total of 420 semi-disabled elderly people were selected as the research object.General information questionnaire,self-perceived burden scale, general self-efficacy scale and social support rating scale were used to investigate them.Spss20.0 and Amos23.0 were used to analyze the data. The frequency and constituent ratio were used to describe the social demographic data of the semi disabled elderly. The mean ± standard deviation(? ± s)was used to measure the data. The general demographic data were used to analyze the influencing factors of the self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly. The independent sample t-test,ANOVA or rank sum test were used to analyze the influencing factors of the self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly. The multivariate linear regression analysis was used to make statistical analysis. The Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship among social support,self-efficacy and self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly Amos23.0 was used to construct and verify the structural equation model, and bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect. The test level ɑ= 0.05.Results1.The scores of social support,self-efficacy and self-perceived burden of the community semi disabled elderly in Jilin City: The total score of self-perceived burden was(28.31±7.01),and the scores of each dimension were emotional burden(14.74±3.50),physical burden(7.16±2.17)and economic burden(6.40 ± 2.86),of which 26 cases(6.4%)had no obvious self-perceived burden,222 cases(54.4%)had mild self-perceived burden, and 137 cases(33.6%)had moderate self-perceived burden 23 cases(5.6%)had severe self-perceived burden; The total score of self-efficacy was(56.79±13.33)The total score of social support of the community semi disabled elderly in Jilin city was(35.12±8.34),and the scores of each dimension were subjective support(19.16 ± 4.00),objective support(9.78 ± 1.52)and support utilization(5.94±1.69).2.Single factor analysis of self-perceived burden of semi disabled elderly: the total score of self-perceived burden of semi disabled elderly is different in different gender, age, marital status, medical payment mode, education level, number of children, living mode, main caregivers, health status of caregivers, annual income, chronic disease,semi-disabled years and disability degree, and the differences are statistically significant There was statistical significance(P<0.05).3.Correlation analysis of social support,self-efficacy and self-perceived burden: Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between self-perceived burden and social support(r=-0.760,P<0.01);there was a negative correlation with self-efficacy(r=-0.748,P<0.01);Social support was positively correlated with self-efficacy(r=0.684,P<0.01).4.Multivariate linear regression analysis of self-perceived burden of semi disabled elderly:the results showed that marriage, annual income, health status of caregivers, time of self-care difficulties, degree of disability,self-efficacy and social support entered the equation, which were the main factors influencing self-perceived burden of semi disabled elderly(P<0.05).5.Mediating effect of self-efficacy between social support and self-perceived burden: the overall fitting degree of the structural equation model constructed in this study was in line with the fitting standard after modification. The mediating effect test results showed that social support had indirect effect on self-perceived burden with self-efficacy as the mediating variable(β=0.267,P<0.01),and the mediating effect of self-efficacy accounts for 28.53% of the total effect.Conclusions1.The semi disabled elderly in Jilin community generally have mild to moderate self-perceived burden, and their self-efficacy and social support are in the middle level.2.The main influencing factors of self-perceived burden of the semi disabled elderly in Jilin community were marriage, annual income, health status of caregivers, time of self-care difficulties, degree of disability,self-efficacy and social support.3.Social support and self-efficacy are negatively correlated with self-perceived burden, while self-efficacy is positively correlated with social support.4.Self efficacy has a mediating effect between self-perceived burden and social support of the community semi disabled elderly in Jilin City. |
