| Objective: 1.The correlation between the two was assessed by investigating the status of care burden and empowerment capacity of disabled elderly home caregivers in an urban area in Changchun.2.Explore different demographic variables of disability elderly home caregivers care burden and the influence of empowerment ability,explore the correlation of the two,aims to provide better disability elderly care services,and reduce the burden of home caregivers care,improve its empowerment ability,to improve the quality of life of disabled elderly and their caregivers provide a reference.Methods:This study,using questionnaire,respectively,the disabled elderly and home caregivers general data questionnaire,Zarit care burden scale,main caregivers empowerment scale,daily life activities survey tools,to the disabled elderly and home caregivers care burden and empowerment ability,so as to explore the influence of different demographic characteristics on the disabled elderly home caregivers care burden and empowerment ability,analysis between the correlation by Pearson related analysis method.Results:1 The total score of the main caregivers of disabled elderly was(40.27±9.29);The total score of the primary caregivers of disabled elderly was(140.06±20.43).2 The results of one-way analysis of variance showed that the monthly income of disabled elderly people,the way of medical expenses,the types of chronic diseases,the number of children,the degree of disability,The caregiver’s education level,working state,nursing years,daily nursing time,whether there was assistance in the nursing process,health status,monthly wage income and the reason for becoming a caregiver all had significant effects on the caregiver burden of the disabled elderly,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The age of disabled elderly,type of chronic disease,degree of disability,caregiver’s age,education,working state,nursing years,monthly income and the main sources of knowledge related to caring for patients were all influential factors of caregiver empowerment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3 Pearson correlation analysis showed that the caring burden of disabled elderly caregivers in a town of Changchun was negatively correlated with their empowerment ability(r=-0.579,P<0.05).4 Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the total score of empowering ability,disability degree of disabled elderly,caregiver care years,caregiver working status,caregiver monthly income and the reason for becoming a caregiver,a total of six variables entered the regression model of caregiver burden(P<0.05).Four variables including total score of caregiving burden,degree of disability of disabled elderly,education level of caregiver and age of caregiver entered the regression model of empowerment ability(P<0.05).Conclusion:1 The caring burden of disabled elderly caregivers in a town of Changchun is at a lower than medium level,and the influencing factors of caregivers’ empowerment include: The monthly income of the disabled elderly,the way of medical expenses,the types of chronic diseases,the number of children,the degree of disability,the caregiver’s education level,the working status,the caring time and the daily caring time,whether there was assistance in the caring process,the health status,the total monthly salary and the reason for becoming a caregiver.2 The empowering ability of the disabled elderly caregivers in a town of Changchun is above the medium level.The influencing factors of the empowering ability of the disabled elderly include: the age of the disabled elderly,the type of chronic disease,the degree of disability,the caregiver’s age,educational level,working state,caring time,total monthly wage and the main source of knowledge about caring for patients.3 There is a negative correlation between caring burden and empowering ability of disabled elderly caregivers in a town of Changchun City. |
