Purpose:Through randomized controlled trials,we have observed the clinical efficacy of warm needle acupuncture combined with Naprapathy in the treatment of wind-cold resistance collateral type lateral epicondylitis(LE)and conducted objective and comprehensive curative effect evaluation and quantitative evaluation on patients, providing a highly accepted, less side effects and exact therapeutic method for the clinical treatment of wind-cold resistance collateral type lateral epicondylitis.Method:In this study,70 patients who met the inclusion criteria of LE in the rehabilitation and orthopedic outpatient or ward department of our hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups,35 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group were treated with warm needle acupuncture combined with Naprapathy, while those in the control group were treated with Naprapathy alone. The treatment was conducted once every other day, with 10 times as a course of treatment.Basic information such as the name, age, proportion of affected limbs, and course of disease of the research subjects were collected during the first treatment, and the CRF form was filled out faithfully. The VAS score,Mayo elbow function score,Pain-free grip strength(PFG)and grip strength index were observed before and after treatment, and the efficacy was evaluated.SPSS25.0 statistical software was used for data processing and analysis.Results:1.VAS score comparison: VAS scores of the two groups decreased after treatment, which were lower in the treatment group than those before treatment. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatments in the two groups could both improve the pain symptoms of patients, and the treatment group was superior to the control group.2.Comparison of Mayo elbow function scores: After treatment, the Mayo elbow function scores of the two groups were both higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),which indicated that both treatments could improve the elbow function of patients. However,in terms of stability, there was no significant difference between the two groups, and the treatment effects were equivalent(P>0.05).The efficacy of pain index, motor function and daily living performance in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Pain-free grip strength(PFG): PFG values in the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the PFG values in the treatment group were higher than those in the exposure group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatments in both groups could increase the grip strength of patients who endured pain, and the treatment group was superior to the control group.4.Comparison of grip strength indexes: After treatment, the grip strength indexes of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the grip strength indexes of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment in both groups could increase the maximum grip strength of the patient, and the treatment group was superior to the control group.5.Comparison of clinical effects: The total effective rate was 93.9% in the treatment group and 84.8% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the clinical effects of warm needle acupuncture combined with Naprapathy group in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis of humerus were superior to that of the Naprapathy group alone.Conclusion:1.Both treatment methods can relieve pain, improve the grip strength and improve the function of the elbow in patients with lateral epicondylitis due to wind-cold resistance collateral obstruction. In addition, the warm needle acupuncture combined with Naprapathy group was superior to the simple Naprapathy group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups in stability.2.Both warm needle acupuncture and Naprapathy have their own characteristics. The combined use of them has a more comprehensive effect on the treatment of external epicondylitis of humerus due to wind-cold obstruction of collaterals, and is a treatment with high acceptance, small side effects and exact curative effect, worthy of further clinical promotion and research.
