Clinical Study On Xifeng Tongluo Decoction In The Treatment Of The Acute Cerebral Watershed Infarction

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Xifeng Tongluo Decoction in the treatment of acute cerebral Watershed infarction patients with wind phlegm blocking collaterals,and to discuss the mechanism of its action preliminarily.Method: According to the principle of randomized control,We selected 66 patients with acute CWI who were treated in the Department of Brain Diseases,Tai’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December2020.All of the patients met the inclusion criteria.The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group.There were 33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with the conventional Western medicine,and the observation group was given Xifeng Tongluo decoction on the basis of the former.The course of treatment was 2 weeks.Before and after the treatment,we recorded the scores and the results of laboratory tests.NIHSS,Barthel index,TCM symptom score,hs-CRP and D-dimer.We put the data into statistical analysis and evaluate the curative effect of Xi Feng Tong Luo decoction.Results: The clinical effective rate of the observation group was better than control group(P<0.01),and the effective rate of TCM syndrome was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Compared to before treatment,NIHSS scores,TCM symptoms scores,hs-CRP level,D-D level of the two groups were significantly lower than before(P<0.01).And the BI of the groups were higher than before the treatment(P<0.01).Compared with the control group,the NIHSS scores and the hs-CRP level in the observation group were lower(P<0.05),the D-D level and the TCM symptoms scores in the observation group were significantly lower(P<0.01),the BI scores were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion: Xifeng Tongluo Decoction has a certain effect on the improvement of neurological deficits in patients with CWI in the acute phase of windphlegm blocking collaterals,and it has a positive effect on improving the ability of daily living,reducing the levels of hs-CRP and D-D,and it can improve the symptoms of TCM.The preliminary analysis suggested that this decoction may have the functions of protecting vascular endothelial cells,improving blood flow,protecting nerve cells and antithrombotic.
