ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of thumb-tack needle in the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcer of yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity type by clinical observation of the experimental group(thumb-tack needle combined with compound chlorhexidine gargle)and the control group(compound chlorhexidine gargle).MethodThe subjects in this study were patients diagnosed with recurrent aphthous ulcer in the second middle hospital of Guangdong Province from September 2019 to November 2020.Then,according to the random number table method, the patients were randomly divided into the experimental group(press needle combined with western medicine group)and the control group(Western medicine group). In the control group,15 ml compound chlorhexidine gargle was taken each time, and the mouth was rinsed after brushing teeth in the morning and evening, each time for about 2 minutes, twice a day.On the basis of the control group, the experimental group was treated with thumb-tack needle.Alcohol routine disinfection, press the needle into the acupoint, press firmly, and bury the needle for 3 days. One course of treatment was 3 days, with a total of 2 courses. In the first course, the acupoints were selected for bilateral Tongli and Zhaohai. In the second course, the acupoints were selected for Lianquan and Sanyinjiao. The VAS score, average ulcer stage,TCM symptom score before and after the intervention were observed, and the clinical efficacy was recorded.SPSS 24.0 software package was used for all statistical analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the two groups.Results1.The baseline of general condition and disease condition(pain index, average ulcer stage, symptom score, etc.)of the two groups before intervention were equal,P>0.05,which could be further analyzed.2.The total effective rate was 93.9%in the experimental group and 75.8%in the control group, and the significant efficiency was 53.3%in the experimental group and 23.3%in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);In terms of symptom and sign scores, after the intervention, the experimental group had statistically significant differences in improving TCM symptoms:ulcer diameter, number of ulcers, exudation, congestion, edema, local pain, burning sensation, thirst, tongue pulse and total score(P<0.05).There were significant differences in ulcer diameter, number of ulcers, exudation, hyperemia, edema, local pain, burning sensation and total score between the two groups(P<0.05);there were significant differences in ulcer diameter, number of ulcers, exudation, hyperemia, edema, local pain, burning sensation, thirst, tongue pulse and total score between the two groups The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the experimental group is better than the control group in improving TCM symptoms.3.Western medicine curative effect:after the intervention, the ulcer pain index of the two groups were decreased, the average ulcer period was shortened, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the curative effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group;the total effective rate of the DP method was 93.3%in the experimental group,83.3%in the control group, and 73.3%in the experimental group,23.3%in the control group The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThumb-tack needle combined with compound chlorhexidine gargle and single use of compound chlorhexidine gargle can effectively treat recurrent aphthous ulcer of yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity type.Compared with single use of gargle gargle,thumb-tack needle combined with western medicine has better effect in reducing local pain, promoting ulcer healing, shortening average ulcer period and relieving TCM symptoms.
