Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Stage 3pressure Ulcer With Thumb-Tack Needle Combined With Mebo

Objective: This study evaluated the clinical efficacy by observing the treatment of stage 3 pressure ulcer by thumb-tack needle combined with moisture exposed burn ointment(MEBO),which provided a basis for clinical applicationn and offered a effective and characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)for the treatment of pressure ulcer.Method: 65 patients with pressure ulcers were selected from the surgical outpatient department,general Surgery Department,orthopedics department,and acupuncture and moxibustion Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from September2021 to December 2022,who also met the inclusion criteria of this clinical study.According to random number table double blind method,the patients were divided into two groups,33 cases in the observation group and 32 cases in the control group.The control group received topical MEBO after basic treatment,and the observation group was treated with thumb-tack needle combined with MEBO after basic treatment.Both groups were treated continuously for 4 courses,and observed the clinical efficacy.In the process of treatment,intra-group and inter-group wound areas,PUSH scores,and infrared thermogram temperatures before and after treatment were analyzed and compared between the two groups.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data.Results: 62 cases were completed in this clinical study,with 31 cases in each group.After 4 courses of treatment,in terms of wound healing,the total effective rate was 96.8% in the observation group and 87.1% in the control group.Comparison of curative effect between two groups of patients after treatment by SPSS software,P < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.The wound healing rate of the observation group was 54%,and that of the control group was 19%.Comparison between the two groups before and after treatment by SPSS software,P < 0.05,indicating that the two treatments have certain curative effect.The comparison between the two groups after treatment by SPSS software,P < 0.05,indicating that the treatment effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion: Both thumb-tack needle combined with MEBO and MEBO alone can reduce the amount of wound exudation,improve the type of wound tissue and promote the repair of wound in patients with stage 3 pressure sore.Both of them have clear efficacy in improving wound microcirculation and improving wound healing rate in patients with stage 3 pressure ulcer,and the thumb-tack needle combined with MEBO has a better clinical effect.
