Study On The Vascular Function Of Bushen Hemai Prescription In Stage 2 Hypertension

Objective: To investigate the effect of Bushen Hemai Prescription on arterial elastic function(wall stiffness)and its antihypertensive characteristics in patients with stage 2isolated systolic hypertension(ISH)defined in ACC/AHA guidelines in 2017.Methods: A prospective,completely randomized,double-blind randomized clinical trial was designed.After 2 weeks of elution,the non-invasive measured brachial-ankle artery pulse wave velocity(ba PWV)of perindopril(control group,n = 35)and Bushen Hemai Prescription(experimental group,n = 34)were compared in patients aged 30-79 years,with the right upper extremity Sitting Systolic Blood Pressure(Si SBP)> 140 mm H but < 160 mm Hg and the right upper extremity Sitting Diastolic Blood Pressure(Si DBP)<90 mm Hg with two stages of ISH kidney-qi deficiency syndrome(control group,n = 35)and oral Bushen Hemai Prescription(experimental group,n = 34).The protective effects of PWV and central arterial pressure(CAP)were evaluated.And the short-term effects of Bushen Hemai Prescription on CBP were evaluated for 24 weeks.Results:(1)at baseline,the anthropometric indexes and clinical conditions of the subjects in the two groups were similar,but there was no significant difference between the two groups.(2)there was no difference in CBP between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).After treatment,CBP in both groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),but there was no difference in the parameters of CBP between the two groups(P > 0.05).(3)there was no difference in CAP and ba PWV parameters between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05).After treatment,CSBP and ba PWV of the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and there was no difference between the two groups(P >0.05).However,the quantitative indicators of central arterial pressure in the experimentalgroup--barorefleep enhancement index(AI)and barorefleep enhancement index(AI P75)with 73 heart rate correction were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion: Compared with the standard treatment of perindopril,Bushen Hemai Prescription alone has the same effect on reducing blood pressure and improving arterial stiffness in ACC/AHA stage 2 ISH,but Bushen Hemai Prescription may further reduce CAP while lowering peripheral brachial artery blood pressure,thus possibly having more specific protective effect on large artery elasticity.
