Study On The Status And Influencing Factors Of Perceived Enactment Of Autonomy Among Elderly In Pension Institutions

Objectives To understand the current situation of perception of autonomy of senior citizens in nursing homes,surveying the factors of influence of perception of autonomy among senior citizens,and offer significant testimony for medical workers in nursing homes to increase the consciousness and capacity of self-care of the senior citizens and promote the living quality of senior citizens.Methods Random cluster sampling method was used in this study.From September2019 to June 2020,a total of 660 elderly people were investigated in 8 elderly care institutions was randomly selected from 8 municipal districts(Lubei District,Lunan District,Fengrun District,Luannan District,Kaiping District,Fengnan District and Qian’an District)in Tangshan city.The survey group used self-made and existing questionnaires to investigate the general information,activities of daily living,self-consciousness,simple coping style,family care,care needs of the elderly in nursing homes,psychological resilience,depressed mood and life satisfaction scale of the senior citizens.Excel was used to input data and SPSS17.0 software was used for analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis was used for general demographic characteristics;t-test and ANOVA were used for univariate analysis;multiple linear regression was used for multivariate analysis to analyze the status and influencing factors of elderly self-awareness in pension institutions.Results 1 The total score of the PEAC-SCV was(59.74±15.20)points,which was lower than that of the elderly in hospital(61.33±8.51),and also slightly lower than that of the elderly with chronic diseases in community(59.86±6.83),which was in the lower middle level.The scores of each dimension were: The score of Freedom dimension was(21.19±6.33),The score of Individuality dimension was(25.32±7.33)and Independence dimension was(13.22±2.51).The average score of each dimension was as follows:Freedom dimension was(2.65±0.79),Individuality dimension was(2.81±0.81),Independence dimension was(3.31±0.63).2 Factors of elderly self-care sexual identity in elderly care institutions: the results showed that elderly people’s autonomy perception was related to age,education,occupation,household registration,marital status,number of children,monthly income,economic sources,chronic diseases,sleep quality,physical condition,living conditions,residence years,sanitation and cleanliness,food style,nutrition collocation,family visiting frequency and collective,attending frequency of activity,activity status,medical conditions,workers’ skills,staff service attitude,general well-being,ability of daily activities,coping style,family care,caring needs,psychological resilience,depression and life satisfaction(P<0.05).3 With the score of self-awareness of the elderly as the dependent variable,marital status,income status,well-being of life,health and cleanliness of the elderly,meal style,activity development,medical rehabilitation,nursing staff skills,family visit frequency,activities of daily living,life satisfaction,care needs,psychological resilience,social security,coping style and depression as independent variables were included in the multiple regression equation to get the influencing factors of elderly people’s self-awareness.Conclusions 1 The total points of perception of autonomy among the senior citizens in pension institutions was(59.74±15.20)points,which was at the lower standard of middle level compared with the senior citizens with hospitalized and chronic diseases in the community.2 The influencing factors of senior citizens’ perceived enactment of autonomy in nursing homes are marital status,income status,happiness of life,sanitation and cleanliness of pension institutions,food style,activity development,medical rehabilitation,nursing staff technology,family visit frequency,ability of daily life activities,life satisfaction,care needs,psychological resilience,coping style and depressed mood.The workers of nursing homes should pay attention to the cultivation of the consciousness and capacity of the senior citizens to participate in all of the activities of self-care.According to the specific conditions of the elderly,the workers of nursing homes should use valid measures to boost the standard of perception of autonomy,and foster and cultivate the consciousness and capacity of self-care of the senior citizens to actively participate in their own nursing behavior.Figure 0;Table 9;Reference 135...
