| Objective:1.“Life-Space Assessment in Institutionalized Settings” was sinicized, and the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of LSA-IS was tested.2.The Chinese version of LSA-IS scale was used to investigate the living space level of the elderly living in the medical and nursing institutions, and analyze the influencing factors,in order to provide theoretical basis and reference for the formulation of intervention measures on the living space level of the elderly living in the medical and nursing institutions. Methods:This study adopts the cross-sectional survey method, which consists of two parts. The first part is the Chinese version and reliability and validity test of the English LSA-IS scale. The second part is about the investigation of the living space level of the elderly and the analysis of its influencing factors.Part ONE: The sinicization of “Life-Space Assessment in Institutionalized Settings “.After obtaining the authorization of the author of the source scale, the Brislin translation model was strictly followed to translate and translate the scale. The research group invited 6 experts to evaluate the validity of the content of the scale, and then invited 30 elderly people to conduct a pre-survey.Based on the above results, the scale was modified and the Chinese version of LSA-IS scale was obtained. From May 2021 to July 2021,210 elderly people in the combination of medical care institutions will be randomly selected by convenient sampling method as the research objects for formal investigation. Two weeks later,30 elderly people will be randomly selected for re-evaluation.Excel and SPSS25.0 software were used to collate and analyze the data. The reliability and validity of the Chinese scale were evaluated by item analysis(Spearman correlation analysis and extreme group test),reliability analysis(internal consistency and retest reliability),and validity analysis(content validity and structure validity).Part Two: The status quo of the living space level of the elderly in the combination of medical and nursing institutions was investigated by using the Chinese version of LSA-IS scale and the influencing factors were analyzed. From July 2021 to October2021,231 elderly people living in a combination of medical and nursing institutions were selected as the research objects by convenient sampling method.General data questionnaire,Chinese version of LSA-IS scale and Chinese version of Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)scale were used to investigate.Use SPSS25.0 and Excel to sort out and analyze the data. The single factor analysis was conducted by chi-square test, with statistically significant factors in the results as independent variables and living space level as dependent variables. The multivariate analysis was conducted by binary Logistic regression analysis.Results:1.There were 15 items in the Chinese-oriented “Life-Space Assessment in Institutionalized Settings”,and 3 common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis. The contribution rate of cumulative variance was 77.223%,and the Chronbach α coefficient of the total scale was 0.790,and the retest reliability of the total scale was 0.902(P<0.001),the retest reliability of each dimension were 0.841,0.809,0.695(P<0.001)the mean content validity(S-CVI)of the scale was0.943,and the content validity index(I-CVI)of each item was 0.83-1.00.2.The total score of living space of the elderly living in the combination of medical and nursing institutions ranged from 0 to 74 points, with an average of(24.86±15.71)points.By univariate analysis, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the incidence of living space limitation among the elderly with different entry expense sources, falling history within one year and length of stay in hospital(P<0.05);The results of binary Logistic analysis showed that living space limitation is an independent risk factor for the occurrence of a fall within 1 year and more than 4 years in a nursing home.Conclusion:1.In this study, the Chinese version of LSA-IS scale was preliminarily formed by sinicization and cultural debugging of the English LSA-IS scale The reliability and validity test of the Chinese version of LSA-IS scale shows that the scale has good reliability and validity, and the scale has few items and strong operability, which LSA-IS suitable for evaluating the living space level of the elderly living in the combination of medical and nursing institutions in China.2.The Chinese version of LSA-IS scale was used to investigate the status quo of the living space level of the elderly in medical and nursing institutions and analyze the influencing factors. The results showed that the incidence of the living space limitation of the elderly in medical and nursing institutions was 24.68%(57/231)Elderly people who have a history of falling and have been in the residence for a long time can formulate targeted intervention measures according to their physical conditions,so as to effectively avoid or delay the occurrence of living space restriction and improve the quality of life of the elderly. |
