| Since the beginning of the new century,there have been many outbreaks of public health emergencies in our country,such as "SARS","A pandemic","Ebola" and so on.In the context of economic globalization,these emergent public health events have become global crises,affecting all aspects of the production and life of people all over the world,and affecting people’s lives and health.Therefore,the occurrence and development of sudden public health incidents have naturally become the hotspot and focus of social attention,and relevant news has become the focus of media reports.As one of the most influential media in my country,what kind of content characteristics does "Southern Weekend" report on public health emergencies?What kind of reporting strategy does it use for reporting?Since the new century,what changes have been made in the reporting strategy of Southern Weekend?This article selects "Southern Weekend" as a research sample,and searches its newspaper database for four reports of sudden infectious epidemics since the new century.A total of 49 reports on SARS,14 reports on "A flu" and "Egypt" were found.There are 7 reports on "Bola" and 162 reports on "COVID-19",Through the research methods of content analysis and comparative analysis,using framework theory,health communication theory,etc.,comparative analysis of "Southern Weekend" in the four public health emergencies crisis events Reporting characteristics and strategies.The study found that the four outbreak reports of Southern Weekend have their own characteristics and focus:in the SARS report,the number of reports is positively correlated with the ups and downs of the event,the prevention and impact reports are biased,and the sources of the reports are diverse and clear;The number of reports on "A stream" is small,but the pace of reports is stable and slow,and the proportion of popular scientific research reports has increased;"Ebola" reports are limited,with a low degree of attention,and international information is biased,focusing on international assistance,and the source of reporting is focused on the general public;The number of "COVID-19" reports is compact and concentrated,and the themes of the reports are diversified.The study also conducted a comparative analysis of the four outbreak reports of Southern Weekend,and found that Southern Weekend had consistently adhered to the reporting strategy in reporting the four outbreaks,as well as some new changes in reporting strategies.The former is mainly manifested in:always maintaining humanistic care,always attaching importance to the guidance of public opinion,and always attaching importance to the use of constructive news to induce audiences to think.The latter is mainly manifested in:increasing attention to individual interests,more and more rational epidemic reports,and adopting different government media image construction strategies in epidemic reports in different disaster-stricken areas.Finally,based on the above findings,this article analyzes the deficiencies of Southern Weekend’s infectious epidemic reporting,namely,the reporting rhythm and method,reporting quality,and crisis warning,and proposes three optimization countermeasures based on this,namely balanced reporting and health.The normalization of communication and the combined use of traditional media authority and the advantages of all-media platforms. |
