Objective: In this study,AO metacarpal plate technology was used to treat patellar fracture,and the advantages of this technology in the selection of indications and the treatment of complications in patella fracture were analyzed,so as to provide reference for clinicians in the treatment of patella fracture.Methods: Review of patella fracture cases in our hospital from March 2018 to March2020.According to the screening criteria,12 patients with patella fracture in our hospital were treated with AO metacarpal plate technology.Among the 12 patients with fresh patella fracture in this group,3 were males and 9 were females,aged 30 and 75 years old.Among them,AO classification: 2 cases of type B1,2 cases of type B2,3 cases of type C1,3 cases of type C2,and 2 cases of type C3.All patients used AO metacarpal steel plate technique.The patients were followed up after the operation.The outpatient follow-up time was 1 month,3 months,6 months,and 12 months after the operation.Follow-up of the affected limb,fracture healing time,measurement of bilateral knee joint range of motion,and knee joint function Scoring and the occurrence of complications.Comprehensive evaluation of the treatment effect from the aspects of fracture healing,Lysholm score,Bostman patella fracture function score,knee joint mobility and complications,etc.,according to the results of Lysholm score and Bostman patella fracture function score at 12 months after operation to calculate the good and good rate,The internal fixation was removed 12 months after the operation.Results: 1.All 12 patients were followed up,and all patients achieved bone union within 3 months.The internal fixation was removed 12 months after the operation,and all patients achieved full knee flexion and extension.2.The flexion of the contralateral knee joint in the 12 patients after internal fixation was 143.83±2.59,and the flexion of the affected knee joint was 93.67±2.19 one month after the operation,P<0.05,which was statistically significant;3 months after the operation,the flexion of the affected knee was statistically significant.Joint flexion was 112.17±2.25,P<0.05,which was statistically significant;6 months after operation,the knee flexion of the affected side was 132.42±2.15,P<0.05,which was statistically significant;12 months after the operation,the affected knee was flexed Degree of 142.75±2.22,P>0.05,no statistical significance.3.Knee Lysholm score 21.58±1.68,patella Bostman score 9.83±0.83 1 month after operation;knee Lysholm score 52.92±1.78,patella Bostman score 13.92±1.24 at3 months after operation;knee joint 6 months after operation The Lysholm score was76.08±2.07,the patella Bostman score was 24.92±1.38;the knee Lysholm score was96.92±1.38,and the patella Bostman score was 28.58±1.00 at 12 months postoperatively.Both scores showed an upward trend.The excellent rate of Lysholm score at 12 months after operation was 100%;10 cases were excellent,2 cases were good,and the excellent and good rate was 100%.4.During the complete follow-up process,all patients had no complications such as knee joint infection,knee joint movement limitation,internal fixation stimulation,low patella,osteoarthritis,nonunion or delayed union of fracture,loss of reduction and so on.Conclusion: 1.AO metacarpal steel plate technology is suitable for B and C fractures in AO classification of patella.2.AO metacarpal plate technology can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications of patella fractures.
