ObjectiveTo explore the application value of Tai Chi combined with respiratory trainer in lung rehabilitation of moderate-to-severe COPD patients during stable period.MethodsForty stable COPD patients who were treated in the respiratory department outpatient department of Henan Provincial People’s Hospital or were discharged after14 days of recovery after hospital treatment from October 2018 to October 2019 were prospectively included. They were divided into two groups by random number table method(n=20).Routine drug therapy plus conventional pulmonary rehabilitation training(conventional group)and conventional drug therapy plus Tai Chi exercise plus respiratory trainer training(combined group)were used, respectively.Lung function index(FEV1%,FVC,FEV1/FVC),CAT score,6MWT and HAD anxiety score were measured at 1 month,3 months,6 months and 12 months.ResultsThe FEV1%,FVC,FEV1 / FVC,CAT,6MWT,anxiety score, and depression score values improved in both the combination and conventional groups after training. The FEV1%,FVC and 6MWT in the combination group were higher than that before training. The cat score, anxiety score and depression score were lower than that before training, the differences were all statistically significant(P < 0.05).The FEV1 / FVC was higher than that before training, the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).The FEV1%,FVC and 6MWT in the conventional group were higher than pre training. The cat scores were lower than pre training, the differences were all statistically significant(P < 0.05).The FEV1 / FVC was higher than pre training, the anxiety scores and depression scores were lower than pre training, the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05).When comparing the two groups, the FEV1%,FVC,FEV1 / FVC,and 6MWT in the combination group were higher than those in the conventional group, all of which were statistically significant(P < 0.05).And the cat score, anxiety score, and depression score in the combination group were lower than those in the conventional group, all of which were statistically significant(P < 0.05).ConclusionPatients with stable COPD through a combination of Tai Chi exercise and breathing trainers can improve the quality of life of patients and improve the anxiety and depression symptoms of patients. It can benefit patients more than conventional rehabilitation exercise and has a certain application prospect for patients with moderate to severe COPD in stable stage.
