A Study On The Influential Factors Of Subjective Well-being Of The Elderly In Hubei Province Aged Care And Medical Care Integrated Institutions

[Purpose] At present,the degree of aging in China is continuously increasing,and the elderly care demands of the aged are increasingly diverse.Based on the basic national conditions,China strongly promotes the " Integrated Care " retirement pattern,with the aim of achieving "Healthy Aging".The development of combination of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions and the improvement of the elderly’s happiness are currently hot topics.Therefore,this study focuses on the subjective well-being of the elderly in the combination of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions and its key influencing factors,and then proposes strategies for improving the subjective well-being of the elderly,in order to promote the improvement of the elderly’s living standards and quality,and the combination of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions’ development.Then provide a basis for scientifically solving the aging problem in China.[Methods] First,summarizing the concepts and research status of the elderly’s subjective well-being in the combined Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions by literature review,to consolidate the theoretical basis for the research.Secondly,based on the interview results and literature,from the perspective of three major suppliers—the country,the combination of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions,and the family,explore the influence mechanism and effect of measures to protect the elderly’s subjective well-being,and find the existing problems to enrich the research content.Finally,based on the 《MUNSH》,combined with self-designed questionnaires to conduct field surveys.Using relevant software to conduct an empirical analysis of the survey data,measure the subjective well-being level of the elderly in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions,and scientifically exploring its influencing factors.[Results] 1.The subjective well-being score of the elderly in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions is 33.24±10.24,which is at a medium level;the subjective wellbeing of the elderly in different types of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions is significantly different: internal medical type(34.83±9.42)> combined medical and nursing(31.63±10.30)> In-medicine type(33.29±10.24).2.The overall satisfaction of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions is 77.29%;the satisfaction of different types of Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions is different: internal medical type(86.41%)> medical and nursing type(75.71%)> internal medical type(72.22%).3.The health level of the elderly in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions is relatively low.Among them,the prevalence of chronic diseases is as high as 80%;most elderly people have reduced function or obvious obstacles;and most elderly people feel that their physical health is general or poor.4.Multivariate stepwise linear regression results show that the influential factors of the subjective well-being of the elderly in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions are(ranked by the influencing factors): nursing level,institution satisfaction,selfassessed health status,self-care ability,total social support score,occupation,Number of chronic diseases,bed charges,monthly household income per capita,child visits,and drinking.5.The results of qualitative interviews showed that the personal characteristics of the elderly,family care,and the provision of services of the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions affect the subjective well-being of the elderly.Among them,institutional service provision includes three aspects: living care,illness care,and spiritual comfort.[Conclusions] The influencing factors of the elderly’s subjective well-being in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions include various aspects,not only affected by their personal characteristics such as occupation,drinking,personality traits and health and economic conditions,but also by their families such as child visits,family support,and services of the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions,and also affected by national welfare and social support.Therefore,improving the the elderly’s subjective wellbeing in the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions requires the joint efforts of the country,the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions,families and individuals.At the national level,health investment should be strengthened to improve the level of health care,and system construction should be continuously improved to release the concerns of the elderly,and multiple measures should be taken to effectively improve the quality of life of the elderly in their later years.At the level of the Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions,Aged Care and Medical Care Integrated Institutions should continually optimize service delivery to meet the multi-level needs of the elderly,such as physiology,safety,and respect,with refined elderly care services,specialized medical services,and in-depth spiritual services,and enhance the elderly’s psychological acquisition sense.At the family level,as the most important support for the elderly,children of the elderly should care more about their parents’ physical and mental health,accompany and comfort their parents,and give them more understanding and respect.This is also an important guarantee for their happy life.At the personal level,the elderly should establish a correct outlook on life,optimistically confront with future life,and exercise to strengthen their physical functions to give themselves the best life state,as well as enrich their lives with an open mind,and actively accept and learn to adapt to the new life style in old age.
