Subjective Construction Of New Media Events

New media events that occur and grow on the Internet have powerful public energy,which can not only promote the construction of civil society,but also lead to public opinion violence.The media is an important factor affecting the role of new media events.Based on the analysis of narrative model of Zhao Yu case,this article uses the narrative analysis method and case analysis method to reveal the media's subjective reporting behavior and its specific performances in the process of generating new media events,further traces the motivations and effects of subjective narratives.Proposes improvement suggestions from the perspectives of the government,the media,and the audience,in order to promote the benign development of media culture and political civilization.The study finds that Fujian News Channel uses a dramatic narrative model when reporting Zhao Yu case.It constructs Zhao Yu into the image of a "civilian hero" by constructing binary oppositions,arranging Character-centered plot and following semantic structure from discourse to theme.It highlights humanistic care through the central strategy of using characters to build the sense of justice,arouses the resonance of the audience by meso-rhetoric and civilian narrative strategy.The subjectivity of the dramatic narrative model is reflected in that,the journalists' personal will and value judgments are involved in news reporting,thereby breaking the "objective","balance" and "neutrality" principles.Although this article takes Fujian News Channel's relevant reports on the Zhao Yu case as the analysis object.In fact,the application of the dramatic narrative model in the news media is widespread and extensive.Therefore,the author's analysis and investigation of the motivation have more general significance.This article finds that dramatic narrative mode is a strategic decision made by the media to increase advertising revenue,enhance brand efficiency,and consolidate its core competitiveness under the dual-track system.It is also an inevitable choice based on audience reading and acceptance psychology under the audience standard.After applying content analysis to classify and count the attitudes of the audience,the author finds that Fujian News Channel's subjective construction of the Zhao Yu case is very successful.Whether the audience's cognitive attitudes,emotional attitudes or behavioral attitudes,are all carried out within the framework of the media.On this basis,the author further examines the impact of subjective narrative,points out that the government,the media and the audience should carry out a tripartite linkage against the tears between the official public opinion field and the private public opinion field caused by it.The government need strive to establish and improve a platform that integrates cyberspace and realistic policies.The media commands to insist on the principles of objective reporting and a neutral attitude.The audience are required to accept media literacy education actively to improve rational thinking ability.In this article,the author uses the narrative theory mostly used in the analysis of literary works to analyze new media events,follows the narratological approaches to systematically analyze the role of media in the development of new media events,and demonstrates the media components of the subjective construction in new media events,providing a solid basis for critique of media reports.This is not only the enrichment and expansion of the new media event generation mechanism,but also helps to correctly guide the realistic development of new media events.
