Stigmatization is a phenomenon in the real society.An ordinary person suffers prejudices from society,and undergoes social isolation and hostility because of the unwelcome characteristics,thereby losing social credibility and value.With the popularity of Internet and the continuous development of communication technology,the stigma problem has spread from the real society to the virtual space.The problem of stigmatization in virtual space is more complex than real society.The Stigmatization from individual to group,from the scope extended to the entire network,from visibility to concealment,from strong groups to vulnerable groups,different groups are labeled various brands of the stigma.For a long time,the research on stigmatization in China has concentrated on the perspective of sociology,psychology and anthropology.The study mainly focus on a specific group.The communication environment includes the real society and the mass media.This paper focus on new media events of stigma,to take the new media events as a kind of narrative discourse process,and to explore the public opinion's influence on the virtual space.The author makes efforts to analyze the cause of stigmatization between individual and group from the aspect of journalism and communication.Firstly,the article makes a summery of the formation mechanism of stigmatization.Secondly,utilize the theory of narratology to take an example and analyze the root causes for the problem.Finally,considering the characteristics and negative effects of stigma in the narrative process of new media events,we should think about how to deal with the stigma in cyberspace and give some thoughts and suggestions on "decontamination" in new media events.
