In today's global economic integration,SAP System is widely used in large-sized global enterprise order management,which could optimize the enterprise business activity planning and execution.While in the long-term process,due to the constant expansion of enterprise?intensifying competition?technology updates of order management and other factors,the original system has exposed many weaknesses: poor system integration,system function cannot meet order requirement,not smoothly communication between suppliers and customers,increasing management costs,decreasing efficiency of operations.It has become a pressing problem that how to transform the original system to be more effective for large-sized global enterprises.In this thesis,we will take an order management system transformation and implementation project of one large-sized global enterprise(hereinafter referred to as enterprise A)as the background.According to the business issues generally existed in large-sized global enterprise and represented by enterprise A,like: customer order operation platform outmoded and too much manual intervention,inconsistent in group company order management,not timely customer order modification,and so on.By the use of SAP interface technologies and Web Service,this thesis transformed and implemented a large-sized global enterprise order management system based on SAP.The transformation is mainly working on Sales and Distribution,Purchasing and Financial modules.Many times system function and performance tests have been done on project implementation process,and it proves the system is available and effective.The new order management system works fine after going online.The main work points in this paper includes:(1)Quotation Management.Because the original customer order platform lacks of the support function of SAP product configuration,the quotation of creating requires many data entry and validation steps.In order to achieve more effective and fast customer order management,the new system adopts Web platform to create and update quotation through Web Service and BAPI.The application result shows out the time decreased from 10 minutes to 3 minutes and the quotation creation success rate raised from 80% to 92%.(2)Sales Order and Purchase Order Management.The difference of sales and purchase management between branch offices,leads to the disunion of sales order and purchase order management,the centralized purchasing and sales process is designed and implemented in the system through the IDOC.The application shows that the order delivery date decreased from at least one month to currently less than three weeks,and delivery accuracy increased from 70% to more than 80%.(3)Invoice and Revenue Recognition Management.In this thesis,it usually need update revenue recognition after invoice manually.While the upgraded system makes use of custom development and IDOC,it can update revenue recognition automatically.Which reduces manually operation steps and the new system is more in line with the requirement of enterprise order management.(4)Order Modification Management.The system of global enterprise modified orders in batch mode every once a while,which will lead to customer order cycle date extension and order data delay.The new system achieves the order modification from Web application by use of Web Service,the interface technology guarantees the synchronicity and consistency of the order flow data.The application shows that compared with the batch mode modification per hour in original system,the new optimized order management system can update customer order in real time from Web application,which could do order management more accurately according to customer requirements.
