On The Media Image Of Female Drivers In Network News

With the popularity and application of Internet technology in all walks of life,online media has shown a rapid development trend.In recent years,the network news related to female drivers has frequently appeared in front of the public,and this ordinary group that was not noticed by the public has gradually moved to the cusp of public opinion.Behind the words "female driver" is not only an emerging group whose number is growing,but also an inherent prejudice against women in society.The public,living under the media agenda,understands the new things happening in the world around them under the guidance of the media agenda.The shaping of the image of female drivers by the network media has also profoundly affected the public's understanding of female drivers in real life.Therefore,studying online news has a certain significance for shaping the image of female drivers.This paper takes the news report with "female driver" in the news headlines included in Baidu News in 2016-2018 as the object,and analyzes the content of 1196 pieces of online news by systematic sampling.This paper studies the presentation of female drivers and the problems in the shaping process of network news,and explores the suggestions for scientifically constructing the media image of female drivers.The article first analyzes the content of 1196 online news reports about female drivers,and makes statistics from five aspects: the number of news reports related to female drivers,report topics,sentiment orientation,report genre and sources.Through the above research,it is concluded that the number of network news reports on female drivers presents a trend of increasing year by year.Most of the related reporting themes are negative ones like accelerator and brake.In terms of reporting tendency,the negative tendency is more than the positive one.In terms of reporting style,news is the main content,and the content is relatively brief.In the process of news gathering and writing,we seldom listen to the voice of female drivers.Although the source of the manuscript is abundant,the proportion of authoritative sources is not high.Secondly,based on the statistical data,the author concludes that the female drivers mainly use "unskilled illegal operators","violent anti-law traffic accidents","a exceptional accidents ","innocent victims who are powerless to resist" and "helpful and dedicated dedication ".By summarizing the presentation of female drivers' images,it can be found that network news often use headlines to amplify drivers' behaviors when shaping female drivers' images.At the same time,through the interviews with others,the tendency of news reporting is clarified.Combined with the data released by traffic police,it was found that the media had problems of being one-side,tagged,fragmented and stigmatized when reporting on female drivers.The author thinks about the reasons and influences of the negative appearance of the female drivers' image,and finds that the female drivers will become the target of public criticism,except that the media chooses female drivers for the pursuit of economic benefits under the influence of popular culture.Sexual reports are also derived from the multifaceted influence of the audience and even the female drivers.Finally,the author combines relevant theories and social reality,starting from the multi-factors that influence the media image of female drivers,suggesting that the media can maintain a basic balance of the number of reports on both positive and negative issues under the guidance of relevant regulations.Adhere to objective principles.At the same time,the audience should also reject low-level fun,focus on improving their media literacy,and thus form a good atmosphere of gender equality in the whole society.I hope this article can provide a reflection on the media image of the scientific construction of female drivers.
