The Applications Of Project Management In Book Publishing Houses

The theory of project management was firstly proposed by American scholars.After decades of development,it has become a unique and mature management system.Researches present that using project management theory in the project can efficaciously accelerate the process of the project,improving the enthusiasm of the team and enhancing the quality of the project.Nowadays,in the production activities of various industries,the project management theory presents its overwhelming superiority.Under the impact of the media and the guidance of national policy,publishing houses has completed the transformation from the public institution to the enterprise,and most of them have integrated the subordinate institutions into publishing media enterprises.Under the new characteristic,the market faced by publishing houses is more eclectic,and the operating projects are also complex.Nowadays,increasingly fierce competition in the book publishing industry,the combination of project management theory and publishing media is actually a sword for the development of publishing houses.The project is unique,disposable and it is not reproducible.Each project operation has particular project management thought and methods.Because of the irreversibility of the project,it has added a lot of research directions in the book publishing project management.This paper firstly introduces the development situation of project management and the theoretical knowledge of project and project management.And then introduces the research situation of book publishing project management.Finally,take the "XX Children's English" series of books as an example and use the project management method to research feasibility of the project.Managing the project from project objectives,project plan,project implementation,project control,and project acceptance inspection complete the publishing mission.Research shows that in the decision-making of publishing media enterprises,using project management methods can improve the efficiency of the management of the publishing house,complete the project plan faster and better,produce more competitive products and provide better service.
