The Case Study Of The Effects Of Building The City Image By Major International Conferences

In the wake of closer links among countries in the world,major international conferences is being one of the important platform in economic and cultural communications.Because of major international conferences's holding,products,services and knowledge can be circulated and the host's city image can be built,thus China-South Asia Expo turn Kunming city to a regional radiation center for Southeast and South Asia.The quality of city image always infect people's identity and evaluation to city itself,relating to urban economy and society's overall development.In this paper,author introduced influential factors of city image first,analyzed interactions,action modes and effect reasons between CSAE and Kunming city,basing on a new city image evaluation system adding transmission factor from former's.Consequently,author discussed the ups and downs from major international conferences to city image,using exhibition communication theory,the field theory and the space theory to explain,and affirmed major international conferences had advantages to city image's building in positive propagation,territorial extension and spatial deepening way,disclosed with nous and dialectics that it also had disadvantages to city image's building in negative propagation,capital friction and consciousness mutual exclusion.
