Clinical Observe Of Electro-acupuncture Combined With Moxibustion Method On Shoulder-Hand Syndrome Phase ? After Stroke

Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion in the treatment of post-stroke shoulder hand syndrome(SHS)stage I patients,and to compare the difference between the curative effect of electro-acupuncture or moxibustion alone,so as to seek a treatment method which can help to reduce the pain of patients,improve the motor function of upper limbs and activities of daily living(ADL),and further promote the rehabilitation effect of patients.Methods:In this study,90 patients with shoulder hand syndrome after stroke were randomly divided into electro-acupuncture group,moxibustion group and electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group according to random number table method,30 cases in each group.The three groups were given basic treatment in neurology department and routine rehabilitation training.then,the electro-acupuncture group was treated with electroacupuncture at Jiaji point(EX–B2)C5-C7,the moxibustion group was treated with mild-moxibustion at Waiguan point(SJ5)of affected limb,and the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group was treated with electro-acupuncture at Jiaji point(EX–B2)C5-C7 combined with mild-moxibustion at Waiguan point(SJ5)of affected limb.The corresponding operation method was the same as that of electro-acupuncture group and moxibustion group.After four weeks of treatment,Visual analogue scale(VAS),simplified Fugl-Meyer upper limb motor function(FMA-U),Modified Barthel Index(MBI),shoulder range of motion score and overall efficacy of the three groups were observed and compared before and after treatment.Results:1.comparison within groups: the scores of VAS,FMA-U and MBI before and after treatment in the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group,the electro-acupuncture group and the moxibustion group were statistically significant(P<0.05);the shoulder abduction and flexion range of motion scores of the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group,the electro-acupuncture group and the moxibustion group before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05).It can be seen that after treatment,the limb pain,upper limb motor function,ADL and shoulder joint range of motion(ROM)of the three group were significantly improved.2.Comparison between groups: the score variances of VAS,FMA-U and MBI before and after treatment in the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group were statistically different from those in the electro-acupuncture group and moxibustion group(P<0.05);the score variances of shoulder joint abduction and flexion ROM in the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group before and after treatment were statistically different from those in the electro-acupuncture group and moxibustion group(P<0.05).The results also showed that the overall curative effect of electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group was better than that of electro-acupuncture group and moxibustion group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results showed that the electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion group was superior to the electro-acupuncture group and moxibustion group in relieving limb pain,improving shoulder joint activity,improving upper limb motor function,ADL and overall curative effect.Conclusion:1.Electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion is superior to electro-acupuncture or moxibustion alone in relieving the pain of affected limb,improving the ROM of shoulder joint,improving the motor function of upper limb and ADL of patients with SHS stage I after stroke.2.Electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion can significantly promote the early rehabilitation effect of patients with SHS after stroke.The operation is simple and safe,and the patients have good compliance,which is worthy of clinical application.
