Taoism emphasizes the relationship between man and nature.Human can’t live without harmony with nature harmony with nature.In this classic novel,the way of characters maintain their bodies all reflects the traditional Chinese medical consciousness.This article analyzes the medical scene text in A Dream of Red Mansions and combines the reflection that is Taoist philosophy study in A Dream of Red Mansionsto understand the ancient Chinese concept of health,disease,treatment,life and death.These research resultscan better provide help for the "bio-psycho-social" modern medical model.The article studies physical health and mental illness in A Dream of Red Mansionswith combinationcharacters and diseases.According to characters’ identity,character,background,lifestyle,etc,this article analyzes the Taoist thoughts of "adapting to nature" and "returning to babies" in terms of health maintenance or the formation of diseases.The research on the disease prevention and treatment of "Dream of Red Mansions" uses the combination of the body state of the character and the treatment method,and analyzes the influence of Taoism thought "inaction" on the treatment effect according to the state of the person’s disease and personal fitness.The research on the consciousness of life and death in A Dream of Red Mansions uses the way of combing characters’ dialogues,and analyzes the expression of Taoist thought "Oneness of Life and Death" in the value of life and death or the consciousness of the origin of life and death.This study lasted about two years,and was two parts.One was the original text of A Dream of Red Mansions.These include medical scenarios such as regimens,disease outcomes,treatments,and perspectives on life and death.The second is the core idea of Taoism,including "adapting to nature","returning to babies","doingnothing" and "life and death".This study makes a detailed classification of the relevant texts in A Dream of Red Mansions,and analyzes its influence on the medical attitude of A Dream of Red Mansions in combination with Taoist thought.The research results show that,first of all,health must follow the laws of natural development.Man is one of the nature,and his growth state will be healthy only if it conforms to the law of natural development.Secondly,the impact of mental illness on health cannot be ignored,and human personality will affect mental state.Thirdly,in the face of illness,choosing different treatments can make different effects on health recovery,and doctors should choose different plans based on the patient’s physical fitness.Finally,people with different values of life and death and their origins have different understandings.The "life and death" proposition and dialogue in A Dream of Red Mansionsembodies philosophical thinking of the Taoist "birth and death".According to the research,the above conclusions make corresponding suggestions for the "bio-psycho-social" modern medical model.In terms of health,following the Taoist moderation,opposition,and harmony viewpoints can maintain healthy development.In terms of mental illness,learning the status of "infants",such as,to cultivate one’s spirit,to eliminate the metaphysics,to see the plain and to embrace the simplicity,to be unique and to abandon the wisdom,to know satisfaction and to stop,to know commonplace can keep the fullness of the mental state.In terms of disease treatment,following the Taoist principle of "doing nothing" can reduce side effects as much as possible while curing the disease.Facing the problem of life and death,the Taoist "life and death" thinking can help us understand the value and meaning of life.
