Objective: Based on Andersen's Behavioral Model, this paper investigates the current situation of elderly people using day care centers and analyzes its influencing factors.Through in-depth interviews,to understand their subjective feelings and the decision-making process of using day care centers, providing basis for relevant departments to formulate relevant policies to promote the use of day care centers for the elderly, and providing theoretical and practical support for the promotion of community care services for the elderly in China. Methods: This study includes two parts. The first part is based on Andersen's behavioral model and adopts the method of cross-sectional survey.345 elderly people living in Shijiazhuang community were selected from February to June 2019.The questionnaire consisting of general demographic data, data related to the use of day care services,Katz-ADL and Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE).It used as the evaluation tool to investigate the current situation of the elderly people using day care centers in the community and analyze its influencing factors. The second part adopts the grounded theory method and selects the elderly who have used or are using day care centers in the community as the interviewees through theoretical sampling and other methods.Data were collected through interviews and analyzed by grounded theory. Results:Part ?:1.Current situation of community day care centers for the elderly in Shijiazhuang city.Among the 345 elderly people in the survey,46.7% of them used day care services and 53.3% of them did not.Among the elderly people who didnot use services,39.7% of them did not know about day care centers. In terms of specific service usage categories,in basic services that elderly people used more were fitness(60.2%)and dining service(47.8%),while services such as lunch break, toilet assistance and painting were used with a small number of people and no one use Internet service.Massage(74.5%)and blood pressure measurement service(45.3%)were used more in suitable service items, while bath assistance, legal consultation, psychological comfort and other services were used less, and muscle strength training service was not used.2.Factors influencing the use of day care for the elderlyThe results of this study showed that enabling resources had the greatest influence on the use of day care centers for the elderly, followed by predisposing characteristics.Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, age and educational level in the predisposing characteristics, average monthly income and family attitude in the enabling resources, and the number of chronic diseases in the need factors were the influencing factors for the elderly to use day care centers.Part ?:Through interviews with 23 elderly people and in-depth analysis of the collected data, this study initially constructed the occurrence and development process of elderly people's decision-making using day care centers with the core concept of "continuous adjustment of decision-making and needs".The process occurs and develops under the influence of the planning concept, service and environment of the day care center, driven by the needs of the elderly. It includes four stages: starting the decision, weighing the decision, making the decision and evaluating the decision. The core category of "continuous adjustment of decision-making and needs" governs the four-stage elements and summarizes the decision-making process for the elderly to use day care centers.Conclusion:1.In this study, the most frequently used service items for the elderly are fitness and dining services in basic services, and massage and blood pressure measurement services in suitable services.2.Under the guidance of Andersen's model, the use of day care centers for the elderly is influenced by multiple factors.Female, senior high school or above,? 70 years old, supported by family, average monthly income of1001-3000 yuan, and number of chronic diseases ?1 are more inclined to use day care services.3.This study describes the interaction process between the elderly in the community and the day care center, and constructs a decision-making process model for the elderly to use the day care center with the core concept of "continuous adjustment of decision-making and needs".
