Status And Influencing Factors Of Health Literacy For The Kirgiz Residents In Kezhou Area Of Xinjiang

Objective: To understand the overall level of health literacy of the Kirgiz residents in Kezhou,Xinjiang;the level of health knowledge and ideas,healthy lifestyles and behaviors,and health skills;scientific health concept,health information literacy,infectious disease prevention literacy,chronic disease prevention literacy,Analysis of the six dimensions of safety and first-aid literacy and basic medical literacy and the influencing factors,identify the target population and weak links that need to be targeted for intervention,and provide scientific reference for targeted health education and health promotion activities in Kezhou.Based on this,the overall health literacy level of the Kirgiz residents is enhanced.Methods: A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on residents of Kirgiz who lived in the cities of Atushi,Aheqi and Wuqia County;local health department staff,medical staff of township hospitals and local residents Conduct face-to-face interviews.Database data was created using Epidata 3.1,data was analyzed using Spss17.0 software,and logistic regression was used to determine the main influencing factors of health literacy.Results: The overall health literacy level of Kirgiz residents in Kezhou area was 4.76%;health knowledge and concept,healthy lifestyle and behavior,and health skills literacy were 7.92%,10.93%,23.83%,respectively;scientific health concept,health information The literacy,infectious disease prevention and literacy,chronic disease prevention literacy,safety and first aid literacy,and basic medical literacy were 11.35%,15.32%,12.00%,7.13%,26.62%,and 22.81%,respectively;the factors affecting health literacy are:gender,age,occupation,education level,occupation and family annual income;according to interviews and field investigations,residents are foundLow level of education,insufficient government investment and loss of medical staff are health education and health promotion in Kezhou To carry out the main reason for the slow.Conclusions:(1)The overall health literacy level of the Kirgiz residents in Kezhou is low.In the later stage,health education and health promotion activities should be vigorously carried out to improve the health literacy level of local residents.(2)Mainly affecting the health literacy of the Kirgiz residents in the area.The factors are as follows:gender,age,education level,occupation and average monthly household income;(3)focus on strengthening health education for the elderly,chronic patient groups,students,farmers and herdsmen,and formulating scientific and feasible intervention programs,long-term Conduct health literacy monitoring;(4)enrich the presentation methods and content,produce bilingual health knowledge manuals,books,audio-visual materials,increase investment in health work,and be equipped with professional health education commissioners.
