The Analysis Of Clinical Characteristics Of COPD With Bronchiectasis

Objective:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a disease with high morbidity,and bronchiectasis is not a rare disease in China.In the past,COPD and bronchiectasis were considered two separate diseases.With the increased using of high resolution CT scanning in the assessment of patients with COPD,many patients are found to combine with bronchiectais.At present,few academic researches for COPD with bronchiectasis were made at home and abroad.The purpose of this study was to investigate clinical characteristics of COPD with bronchiectasis.Methods:272 COPD patients with moderate degree and above of pulmonary function test admitted to department of respiratory of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University,from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2017 were chosen as subjects.Analyzing clinical characteristics of 213 COPD patients without bronchiectas and 59 COPD patients with bronchiectasis.Results:The proportion of bronchiectasis was 21.7% in all of chosen COPD patients,15.7% COPD patients with moderate degree of pulmonary function test had bronchiectasis,and 26.1% COPD patients with sever degree and above of pulmonary function test had bronchiectasis.BMI and FEV1%pred in COPD patients with bronchiectasis were lower than that in COPD patients without bronchiectas(P<0.05),and CRP was higher than that COPD patients without bronchiectas(P<0.05).Compared with COPD patients without bronchiectasis,COPD patients with bronchiectasis had a higher proportion of producing yellow-white sputum and yellow sputum.This was no significant difference in smoking between in the group of COPD with bronchiectasis and the group of COPD without bronchiectas(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis using for multi-factors analysis of COPD patients with bronchiectasis showed that there were significant difference in BMI,produceing yellow-white sputum and yellow sputum(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.In this study,the proportion of bronchiectasis was 21.7% in all of chosen COPD patients,15.7% COPD patients with moderate degree of pulmonary function test had bronchiectasis,and 26.1% COPD patients with sever degree and above of pulmonary function test had bronchiectasis.2.Compared with COPD patients without bronchiectasis,COPD patients with bronchiectasis had a higher proportion of producing yellow-white sputum and yellow sputum,lower BMI,lower FEV1%pred and higher CRP level.3.Smoking was not significant correlated with presenece of COPD with bronchiectasis.
