Objective 1 Through cross-sectional survey to investigate the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)in the elderly in nursing home in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province, and to analyze different demographic data of the mild cognitive impairment. The characteristics of the disease provide reference for health cares of nursing home to optimize the quality of nursing service, and provide a theoretical basis for the follow-up research to carry out targeted nursing interventions for the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.2 Serious Games(SG)as a new form of cognitive intervention. The aim of study is to explore the impact of serious games on cognitive, memory and quality of life in elderly with mild cognitive impairment in nursing home,so as to provide theoretical and empirical references for the promotion of cognitive intervention forms of Serious Games in nursing home.Method 1 From July to December 2017,the elderly above 60 years old in 10 nursing homes were cluster sampled in various districts of Nanjing. They were interviewed with self-made general situation questionnaire,Barthel index and Montreal cognitive assessment. The data collection was conducted in a one-to-one manner.2 A nursing home in Nanjing was conveniently selected and 100 elderly people with mild cognitive impairment who met the admission criteria were selected. The elderly with mild cognitive impairment were divided into groups according to wards. In the control group, the elderly with mild cognitive impairment received routine living arrangements and daily training in nursing home. The experimental group elderly with mild cognitive impairment was given 3 months of serious game intervention. The ability of serious game trained includes five aspects: memory, problem solving, attention, speed and image thinking. The intervention training time is 15 minutes each time, and the frequency of intervention training is 3 times a week.We used the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(Mo CA),Auditory Verbal Learning Test(AVLT)and The Quality of Life-AD(QOL—AD)to evaluate the effect of intervention.Researchers collect the data at before the intervention, one month of intervention and three months of intervention.Frequency and chi-square were used to describe the elderly general information, means and standard deviations were used to describe status of cognitive, memory and quality of life.We used the ANOVA to analyze whether there were differences between the experimental group and the control group in the three assessment indicators after the intervention.P <0.05 was considered statistically significant.Result 1 This study collected a total of 340 elderly who met the criteria for inclusion. The number of the elderly is high, and the proportion of elderly people over 80 years old is 65.88%.There were 146 elderly with mild cognitive impairment, accounting for 42.9%.The prevalence of mild cognitive impairment among the elderly in nursing home was statistically significant among different ages, educational levels, and children's status.2 Before the intervention, the scores of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment were generally low,and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The repeated measurement results showed that the time main effect, main effect of intervention and interaction effect of the Montreal Cognitive Scale,Auditory Words Learning Test Scale and The Quality of Life were statistically significant. Conclusion 1 MCI is prevalent in elderly in nursing home. The prevalence of mild cognitive impairment in the nursing home was statistically different at different ages, education levels and children's status. The health cares should raise awareness of elderly with lower education levels, and elderly living alone.2 Serious game cognitive intervention can improve the memory and quality of life of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. For the elderly, this age stage should be a good opportunity, they can try and explore new things, instead of being isolated from the ever-evolving technological life.MCI is early symptoms of dementia that we can do something. With the growing interest in employing information and communication technologies,SG provides the elderly with new ways to entertainment and learning.SG plays a positive role in delaying cognitive decline, and enhancing social interaction.
