Objective: To investigate MCI status of the community elderly in Jiangxi province and analyze various factors of the situation. Based on the results to design community comprehensive intervention MCI group education in combination with personalized guidance scheme and evaluate its effect on the MCI status in community elderly.Methods:(1) 842 MCI elderly in Jiangxi province were selected and surveyed with questionnaires including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA),the Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS), the Global deteriorate scale(GDS), the Hachinski ischemia index scale(HIS),Activities of Daily Living Scale(ADL), etc.(2) The elderly in a community of Nanchang were screened by MoCA and a self-developed questionnaire, 80 MCI elderly were divided into intervention group and control group randomly. Control group did not take any intervention, intervention group received comprehensive intervention; compared the MoCA and ADL scores between two groups after 3 months.Results:(1)The MCI state detection rate was 13.42%(113/842);(2)Single factor chi-square analysis showed that age, level of education, the original occupation,way of living,economic income, smoking,drinking alcohol and chronic diseases were associated with community MCI elderly;(3) Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that age, living alone, suffering from chronic diseases, the original manual labor, poor family economic income, smoking, drinking alcohol were risk factors for elderly. High level of education, the original engaged in mental labor and high economic income were protection factors for elderly;(4) The intervention group and intervention group did not have significant difference about MoCA and ADL scores at the beginning; through 3-month intervention, MoCA scores in intervention group were higher than scores in the control group, meanwhile, the ADL scores in intervention group were lower than scores in the control group.Conclusions:(1)The MCI state of elderly is not optimistic.(2) Age, level of education, the original occupation, way of living, economic income, smoking, drinking alcohol and chronic diseases were major risk factors of MCI.(3)Comprehensive intervention had a significant effect on improving the level of cognition and daily life ability of community elderly. |
