Objective: This paper evaluates the differences in recurrence rate, adverse reactions and safeness between the two therapies by observing the change of skin lesions before and after treatment, comparing the effectiveness of Dayutiaochong decoction and Viaminati capsule in the treatment of female late-acne(chong and ren disorders). From the perspective of syndrome differentiation, treatment theory of chinese medicine and modern pharmacology, this paper discusses the theoretical basis of Dayutiaochong decoction in the treatment of female late-acne(chong and ren disorders),exploring a new method of TCM treatment of female late-acne.Methods:All cases are from of the Second dermatological Department of Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hebei Province.Patients were randomly divided into two groups,34 patients in the treatment group and 32 patients in the control group. Both groups were treated with clindamycin phosphate gel twice daily. The treatment group took Dayutiaochong Decoction(once a day, orally in the morning and evening),while in control group, patients were given Viaminati capsule orally,50 mg,twice a day.The degree of skin damage(the number of skin lesion, the morphology of the skin lesion, the color of the skin lesion, and the nature of the skin lesion)were measured at the beginning of treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment.Adverse reactions and recurrence rate were also recorded. The clinical efficacy, recurrence rates, adverse reactions and safeness of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Result: In the course of this study,63 patients were included in the statistical analysis after the rejection and loss of follow-up,32 in the treatment group and 31 in the control group. All cases met the inclusion criteria. Two groups were statistical insignificant in age, duration of disease and severity ofskin lesions. After 4 weeks of treatment, the changes in skin lesions, adverse reactions and recurrence rates before and after treatment were compared. The clinical effects are compared as follows:1.Among the treatment group,4 were cured,13 were markedly effective,8 were effective,7 were ineffective, resulting a total effective rate of 78.13%.Among the control group,1 was cured,6 were markedly effective,13 were effective,11 were ineffective, total effective rate is only 64.52%.The two groups were tested by rank sum test and obtained P<0.05.The difference was statistically significant, suggesting that the treatment group was higher than the control group in terms of efficiency.2.A total of 2 patients had mild adverse reactions in the treatment group;8 patients in the control group had mild adverse reactions, and 2 patients had moderate adverse reactions. After the rank sum test, the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was statistically different(P < 0.01),and the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group.3.In the treatment group,17 patients were cured and 2 patients were relapsed. In the control group,7 patients were cured and 4 patients were relapsed. After the chi-square test, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),suggesting that the recurrence rate of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group.4.Both groups of adverse reactions were improved without any special treatment, and both therapies were safe. Conclusion:Dayutiaochong Decoction has higher clinical efficacy to Viaminati capsule in the treatment of female late-acne(chong and ren disorders),the recurrence rate and adverse reactions are also lower than that of vitamin capsule. This safely therapy is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
