Objectives To identify the safety and clinical efficacy of transurethral columnar balloon dilation of prostate(TUCBDP)in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia by comparing the surgical status and clinical efficacy of transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)and transurethral columnar balloon dilation of prostate(TUCBDP),which aims to provides theoretical and clinical application basis for the clinical promotion of TUCBDP in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods Retrospective study from February 2016 to March 2017 in the Department of urology of Hebei united university affiliated hospital 80 patients were treated with TUCBDP and TURP of the prostate.38 cases of TUCBDP group,42 cases of TURP group.Markers results, which includes operative time, postoperative complications, intraoperative blood loss, international prostate symptom score(IPSS),maximum flow rate(Qmax),quality of life(QOL)and post-voiding residual urinary volume(PVR)postoperatively at 1th,6th and 12 th months were examined and meanwhile analyzed.Comparing the two groups of patients with intraoperative bleeding, the incidence of complications,IPSS,QOL,Qmax,PVR and other clinical indicators before and after surgery were statistically significant differences.Evaluate the results of the two surgical. Results There exist no significant difference in preoperative age, course of disease, prostate volume, blood sodium value, hemoglobin value,IPSS,QOL,Qmax,PVR betw een the two groups(P>0.05).The operation time(30.5±6.9min),intraoperative bleedin g volume(10.3±2.2ml),bladder irrigation time(4.2±2.1h),indwelling catheter time(2.0±0.8d)and hospitalization time(2.5±1.2d)in the expansion group were significantly les s than those in the TURP group(80.1±13.4min),(45.5±9.4h),(93.6±20.6ml),(5.6±2.0d),(5.3±1.5d)(P<0.01).The complications such as secondary bleeding, acute urinary r etention, bladder neck contracture and transient urinary incontinence in the expansi on group were less rate was(10.5%)than those in the TURP group(23.8%)(P<0.05).IPSS,QOL,Qmax and PVR were improved after operation in the expansion gr oup and TURP group compared with those before operation, and the difference w as significant(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in IPSS,QOL,Qmax an d PVR between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions TUCBDP of the prostate can significantly improve a series of clinical symptoms such as dysuria, and the treatment effect is similar to TURP.Moreover,it has obvious advantages in shortening the operation time, hospitalization time, urinary catheter indwelling time and postoperative recovery time, reducing the amount of intraoperative blood loss, and reducing complications such as bladder neck contracture. The procedure is safe and reliable, the clinical effect is obvious, and there is a great clinical application prospect.Figure 0;Table 11;Reference106.
