Description And Knowledge Discovery Based On Drug Information Resources Which Organized By RDA

As a kind of resource,information resources are becoming more and more important in the modern information society.As an application mode of information resources,knowledge service is based on the efficient organization of information resources.In the medical field,the understanding of medical information resources such as drug information resources is also deepening.Drug information resources mean that the collection of all information in the whole life cycle of drugs from the beginning of research to the discontinuation of use for various reasons.including information such as the drugs' chemical active ingredients' properties which belonging to chemical substances,like the physical and chemical properties,preparation and identification,as the mechanism of action,interaction,metabolism in vivo and economy of products on the market etc.Those belong to the whole information of drug complex substance.At present,the research on these information resources and their organization has not attracted enough attention.It is necessary to explore an efficient organization mode for the existing decentralized drug information resources,and to serve knowledge discovery services based on this organization mode.RDA(Resource Description and Access)is a method of organizing information resources characterized by relevance,which is based on the "entity-relationship" model.Compared with other information organization schemes,its specific advantages are embodied in inclusiveness and scalability,consistency and coherence,inheritance and coordination.This paper studies the organization of drug information resources based on RDA.The way is to transform RDA rules to some specificity,and then introduce them into the field of drug information resources to describe drug information resources,so as to realize the localization of RDA for description and retrieval of drug information resources.Through exploration,based on the content standard of the metadata level of RDA rules as a tool,this paper establishes a description and access method for describing systematically the content of metadata level of drugs,establishes an organization and access framework for information resources serving pharmacy,expands the boundary of describing resources of RDA rules.According to the two dimensions of source,scope(expand data source)and intensity(providing structured data),the foundation of knowledge discovery in medical field is consolidated.On the basis of the above,the direction of knowledge discovery of RDA-based drug information resources in drug-related enterprises is put forward.The research based on RDA drug information resources description and knowledge discovery has academic and applied value.It can expand the application scope of RDA rules.realize the structural ization and organization of drug information resources,and lay the foundation for the construction of pharmaceutical information resources system serving the pharmacy discipline.At the same time,it also provides a new way of thinking for drug-related enterprises in management methods.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part of this paper is the preface.It mainly discusses the concept,distribution in medical field,existing organization methods and management mode of drug information resources,and preliminarily introduces the related research on RDA rules,the metadata content standard for describing literature resources,in the field of library.In the second part,taking a drug(aspirin)as an example,the information resources which about aspirin are transformed into elements and values in RDA rules according to their properties,which are used to describe relevant entities.This process is not apply mechanically based entirely on RDA rules,but on the actual situation of drug information resources,based on the original RDA rules,the concept of some entities and elements has been extended according to their properties.The third part of the article discusses the organization of drug information resources based on RDA rules.Because of the advantages of RDA rules in resource description and cross-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary association,drug-related enterprises and organizations what competitive advantages and management optimization can be gotten acquire in knowledge discovery based on RDA-based drug information resources.
