ObjectiveThe clinical severity score(VCSS)was improved to observe the pain, leg spasm, pruritus, edema, pigmentation, sclerosis and ulcer healing of patients with lower extremity venous insufficiency grade C6.The grading distribution of each index and ulcer healing time before and after treatment were compared between the experimental group and the control group to evaluate the clinical treatment of CVI with Maifu Ointment effectiveness.MethodsAccording to the pre-established criteria,96 patients with lower extremity venous insufficiency grade C6 were randomly selected. The control group was treated with western medicine combined with compression therapy, and the ulcer was treated with Shengji ointment,a medical preparation. The experimental group was treated with Maifu ointment orally on the basis of this treatment plan. The improved VCSS score was measured and recorded before treatment and 30 days after treatment, and the healing time of ulcer was recorded according to the actual situation. Then the observed indexes were analyzed statistically.ResultsNinety-six patients in the two groups were included in the analysis.Among them,5(3 in the experimental group and 2 in the control group)had gastrointestinal adverse reactions. After treatment, they could continue to participate in the experiment.Compared before and after treatment, there were significant differences in limb pain, night leg spasm, edema, pruritus and VCSS scores between the two groups(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in pigmentation and sclerosis before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).There was significant difference in pigmentation and sclerosis before and after treatment in the experimental group(P<0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in pain, nighttime spastic pain and edema between the two groups(P>0.05).There were significant differences in pruritus, pigmentation, sclerosis and ulcer healing time between the two groups(P<0.05).ConclusionThe total score of improved VCSS in both groups was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. The results showed that both treatments were effective for CVVI C6 patients. After treatment, the experimental group was better than the control group in improving pruritus, pigmentation, sclerosis and ulcer healing of CVI patients(P<0.05).The overall effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The results showed that Maifu ointment could relieve symptoms and signs of patients with severe CVI and promote ulcer healing.
