ObjectiveTo discuss the changes and development rules of pattern of syndrome of the traditional Chinese medicine during the development procedure and therapy procedure of diseases, through the review and analysis of cases of deep venous thrombosis in the past three yeats, so as to provide basis for formulation of standards on differentiation of pattern of syndrome of formation of deep venous thrombosis in the traditional Chinese medicine and for the related research and clinical therapy of the traditional Chinese medicine in the future.Method1. Collect the inpatient cases of formation of deep venous thrombosis during the period from December 1, 2003 to December 31, 2005, and all the admitted 68 cases accepted the combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. Collect the perimeter values of both lower limbs on the first, fourth, seventh and tenth days to establish database with Excel and SPSS13.0. Perform texamination and statistical analysis on the limb perimeters and perimeter clearance, etc and then analyze the curative effects.2. Summarize the pattern syndromes of all cases on the first, fourth, seventh and tenth days according to the differentiation standards on the pattern syndromes of the traditional Chinese medicine. All detailed descriptions of all symptoms were objective indicators and were not qualified. Therefore, the cases with over 80% conformity to the clinical manifestations in the actual analysis would be admitted. Make a list and establish the database of the obtained number of cases with all pattern symptoms with Excel and SFSS13.0, and carry out statistical analysis on the data with x~2 examination.Result1. After treatment, among the 70 limbs in 68 cases, 47 were cured (67.14%), 13 cases showed remarked effects (18.58%), 7 cases showed improvement (10.00%) and 3 cases did not show any effects (4.29%). In which, 1 case had the complication of pulmonary embolism (4.13%). The total effective rate was 95.71%. The comparison of the perimeter of the middle part of the thigh with symptoms before and after the treatment: P<0.01, while the comparison of the perimeter of the middle part of the shank with symptoms before and after the treatment: P<0.01. As for the comparison of the perimeter difference between the limb with symptoms and sound limbs, the result of the middle of the thigh, P<0.01, while the result of the middle of the shank, P<0.01.2. During the treatment, the pattern symptoms of the traditional Chinese symptomsinclude sthenia syndromes, i.e. wet heat type of the vessel, wet stasis type of the vessel andqi-stagnancy and blood stasis, and asthenia syndromes, i.e. damp blockage due to splenicasthenia and blood stasis due to deficiency of vital energy. The distribution of all syndromeswas even. In the early stage of the treatment, the sthenia syndromes were common, accounting for 83.32%. In the late stage of the treatment, the asthenia syndromes werecommon, accounting for 86.76%. The cases with sthenia syndromes before the treatmentalways had asthenia syndromes in the late stage of treatment. The change of qi-stagnancyinto blood stasis due to deficiency of vital energy in the late stage of the treatment accountedfor 58.33%. The wet heat type of the vessel and wet stasis type of the vessel changed intothe asthenia syndromes in the late stage of treatment. But there was no obvious differencebetween splenic asthenia and blood stasis due to deficiency of vital energy. The rates ofcontinuance of asthenia syndromes in the late stage and the same pattern syndromes of splenicasthenia and blood stasis due to deficiency of vital energy were 80.00% and 66.67%respectively.Conclusion1. The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine has remarked curative effects on the formation of deep venous thrombosis.2. The development rules of the pattern syndromes during the therapy: In the early stage of the therapy, the sthenia syndromes are common, with the clinical differentiations of wet heat type of the vessel, wet stasis type of the vessel and qi-stagnancy and blood stasis. In the late stage of the therapy, the asthenia syndromes are common, with the clinical differentiations of damp blockage due to splenic asthenia and blood stasis due to deficiency of vital energy.
